Greetings to all

I think there is a proposal from Jet Airways to bring Kochi(6 am) to Bangalore & back (10 pm) as well as Kochi(10.30 pm) to Chennai & back 93.25 am) from 18 Feb 2018. I don't know whether it is a part of some new international route introduction.

If someone gets an idea please communicate.

Please propose for new routes

Greetings to all

If any one is able, please suggest to bring at least once in a week flights in the following routes.

1. Kochi to Goa & back (Spicejet Q400, 70 seater will do good)

2. Kochi to Kolkata & back (indigo or Go air or Spicejet will do good)

3. Kochi to Alain to Ras Al Khaimah to Kochi and the next day in the reverse route. (As AIE have ground handling team at both places, it will be easy for them)

4. Kochi to London and back ( Jet Airways will be able to operate as they have ground handling team over there)

5. Kochi to Jakarha & back (Air Asia will be the best to operate in this route)

After six months, they will be able to decide on increase in frequency in all the above proposed routes.

Greetings to all. Go air again revises Kochi to Bangalore and back rsumption date and Kochi to Chennai and back starting dates.

Go Air again revised the resumption date of Kochi to Bangalore and back to 22 Dec 2017. (twice a day)
In a similar way, they revised Kochi to Chennai and back starting date also to 22 Dec 2017. (Thrice a day)

Scheduled time are retained as previous timings. Above data is from the site of Go air.

But they are silent about the earlier announced Kochi to Hyderabad to Lucknow and back flight.

If they bring one Kochi to Delhi & back direct/nonstop flight, then it will be more useful.

If someone has some relation/contact, please propose Jet Airways to bring one Kochi to London and back nonstop/direct flight, at least once in a week. After six months they will be able to decide on the increase in frequency required as per the demand. As of today, they are the only one Indian operator other than Air India, which can bring such a flight without much investment on their infrastructure as they have basic functionalities available in London.

Kochi to Delhi and back direct/nonstop flights more are required.

Go Air and Air Asia India are the operators which are not operating direct/nonstop flights in the Kochi to Delhi and back sector. If they could bring at least one each direct/nonstop flights in the Kochi to Delhi & back sector, it will do good.

In addition to that, in the Kochi to Mumbai and back sector, Vistara is not operating. If they also bring one flight in the Kochi to Mumbai and back sector, it also will serve us well.

Spicejet announces fourth flight in Kochi to Chennai and back

Spicejet announces its fourth direct/nonstop flight in the Kochi to Chennai & back sector from 22 Dec 2017.

A daily flight using Boeing.

SG 861 Chennai(7.30 AM) to Kochi (8.50 AM):bash:

SG 862 Kochi (9.25 AM) to Chennai ( 10. 35 AM):bash:

Kochi to Chennai is further proceeding to Kolkata as a one-hop flight to Kolkata and reaches Kolkata at 2.10 PM.:bash:

But, it is not operating on the return route to Kochi due to unknown reasons.:eek:hno:

If possible someone could suggest for a Kochi to Kolkata and back direct/nonstop flight at least once in a week. Either Spicejet of Go Air or Indigo will be able to operate easily on that route. Once it starts operation, later they can decide on the increase in frequency as per the demand.

Greetings to all.Goa to Kochi and back is promising route route

Goa to Kochi and back is a promising route.

The major constraint in Goa is the slot availability. If slots are available operators may come up with flights.

Now under UDAN scheme, they may find some slots and in that case, either Indigo or Spicejet may come up with proposals.

Earlier Cial suggested Air Asia for one Kochi to Goa and back flight.

I don't know what happened to that proposal

Why Jet airways is not operating in the Koc-Maa & Koc- Blr sectors.

Jet airways, FSC, now prefer to avoid competition with other LCC.
Previously they were operating 6 flight in Koc- Blr sector, number of flightis In Koc-Maa sector, Koc-Hyd sector also.
According to them, now only 3 percentage of their flight is serving as Jetconnect, their LCC.
They say, they wanted to make their fleet very young.
This may be the reason.

Greetings to all

Kochi to Guwahati and back Indigo flight. (6E 571), starting on 22.12.17:dance2:

It is true that there was no convenient flight in the Kochi to Guwahati sector.

Now the new one (6E 571) Kochi to Chennai to Guwahati is flying in short time of 4 h 35 mins. Except for Sat it starts at 1.30 pm and reaches there at 6.05 pm with a layover of 35 min at Chennai. On Saturdays, it starts at 12.30 pm and reaches there at 6.05 pm itself with an 80 min layover at Chennai.

The return flight is a different one. It exists there. It operates in the (6 E 316)Guwahati to Bangalor Kochi route, 5 hr 10 mins. It starts at 5.35 pm and reaches here at 10. 45 pm with a layover of 40 mins at Bangalore. I don't know, when did they start this.

Let us hope that the above two routes will fare well.

May I suggest before you all to initiate a discussion with Mr. Biji K Eapen, IATA Agents Association of India chapter President, if anyone knows him personally.

As we all aware, as on today, the only Indian operator other than Air India which has a carrier to fly up to London/Paris/Frankfurt is Jet Airways. If it can be suggested for them to operate a flight in the Kochi to London or Paris as a direct/nonstop flight, I hope it will do wonders.

They can start operations with one flight in a week and after six months they can increase the frequency as per the requirement.

As they already have ground handling team and infrastructure in all the three airports Kochi, London, and Paris, it will be easy for them to start operations.

I hope it will be one among the profit-making routes

As we all are aware a good number of Kerala people are working in England, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy and other EU nations.

Greetings to all.
Also Koc to Tirupati can be suggested under U D A N scheme.
Other important unserved direct flight/route for Kochi in domestic sector are Kochi to Goa, Kochi to Kolkata, Kochi to Nagpur etc.
In the international sector, Kochi is not having direct flights to Ras al Khaimah, Al Ain of middle East, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Manila of SE. Towards Europe also no direct flights are there from Kochi. If someone could suggest/initiate for the same, it will help Kochi to improve.

Greetings to all.
Even though cial is the hub, why AIE is not providing us at least one flight to RAK as well as Al Ain. As on today, RAK airways of RAK emirate is defunct. Hence from their side, no operator is there to initiate. There is bilateral agreement existing between both the nation's. If someone could initiate, I hope, it might work out. RAK & Al Ain are the remaining unserved direct destinations from Kochi.

I don't think, its launching... It might be assessing the market and other options etc, though it has allocated a schedule primarily.

Greetings and New year wishes to all.

I don't know what they are evaluating again.
As everyone know, it is a profit making pretty route. As they already have Bangkok to Taipei service, they can think on making it as Kochi to Bangkok to Taipei and back one hop/stop service. Once it is initiated, it will serve good. As ASA is there between India, Thailand and Taiwan, it may not be difficult.
Thai AirAsia can think on making the existing service to extend up to Hong Kong and return flight.
Both the above proposal are the possible shortest air routes.
Once it is made financially viable, then they can think on making it as point to point flight.
If it will work out, then it'll help Kochi. Hope the best.

Good morning and good wishes to all.

SpiceJet new proposal to start daily Koc to Chennai to Kolkata and back flight from Feb 5 2018. I'm not sure whether they plan to continue the temporary flight which they brought in December in the same route or a new one.

Go air proposal to start flights in Koc to Goa and Koc to Pune routes. In all the above proposals, details are not known to me. If someone could find, please give the details in the reply.

In the Male - TVM sector other than SG, AI is also operating. AI is having an advantage over SG is there. An agreement is there between Male government & India. Male citizen are eligible for free treatment in the Government Medical College hospital at THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, free AI up & down flight ticket for patient as well as for a bye stander. In addition to that, they will get room rent for their stay & a small amount for daily expenses.

Flight ticket is provided only in AI.

Hence, never SG will be able to get those Passengers.

It may be one of the reason for withdrawal of the Tvm-Male-Tvm flight.

Indigo again made some changes to proposed AMD / HYD flights.

March 12 - April 15th

6E 0644 Kochi Hyderabad 05:05 06:40
6E 0644 Hyderabad Ahmedabad 07:10 09:00

6E 0645 Ahmedabad Hyderabad 19:45 21:30
6E 0645 Hyderabad Kochi 22:00 23:40

6E 0667 Ahmedabad Kochi 09:30 12:00
6E 0668 Kochi Ahmedabad 16:40 19:15

From April 16th

6E 0644 Kochi Hyderabad 06:15 07:50
6E 0644 Hyderabad Ahmedabad 08:20 10:10

6E 0645 Ahmedabad Hyderabad 17:20 19:05
6E 0645 Hyderabad Kochi 19:35 21:15

6E 0667 Ahmedabad Kochi 09:30 12:00
6E 0668 Kochi Ahmedabad 16:40 19:15

After April 16th flight rotation is different, still the flight is idle for 4 hrs in COK. So there is a chance to add one more sector from COK.
Greetings and good wishes to all.

From the quote itself is evident that they are now planning to operate a different flight in the Koc-Ahm-Koc sector. The flight number itself is different from the first announcement.
In addition to that, we can see that the Ahm-Koc flight departs Ahmedabad even before the landing of Koc-Hyd-Ahm flight.
Please clarify if someone know the reason.
If Indigo could make use of the idle time at Kochi for a Koc-Goa-Koc flight, I feel that we will get a new route which is unserved at present with a direct/non-stop flight.
In addition to that, may I know whether they will be able to use the idletime of 9 hours in night for another international flight/route. Technical feasibility, if someone know, please answer.

Why Go air, SpiceJet, Jetairways, Vistara are not announcing new fights. Any chance for a Koc-Kolkata-Koc direct/nonstop flight.

Greetings to all

By the introduction of four flights in a week by Jazeeera by A 320, three flights of Kuwait Airways seems to be withdrawn. Hence, the increase in weekly movement of flights in Koc-Kuw-Koc increases only by one more flight. It looks only as a slight increase other than the introduction of one more operator. If anybody knows more, please bring it to the light.:eek:hno:

AIE new Koc-Kuw-Bah & return flight starting date please

Greetings to all

If someone knows the Koc-Kuw-Bahrain & back as well as Koc-Bahrain-Kuwait & back AIE flight starting date, please announce the same with the source.

It is nice to hear so.

If AIE could bring Kochi-RAK-Al Ain-Kochi & return flight, it also will serve Kochi good. A good number of Kerala people are working in RAK as well as Al Ain.

Kochi to Salalah & back frequency should be improved from one to two per week. Either AIE can increase the frequency or Oman Air can bring one flight.
