I have heard that the land prizes at Kundara are escalated once the tech park news has come up.The Techno Park CEO Mervin has said "We have marked July 2010 as the deadline for the launch of Kollam Technopark. Minister M.A. Baby wants the first company to move into Kollam Technopark by July 2010 and we have taken it up as a challenge.’’.

The location where the Kollam Techno Park comes up is near to the industrial belt of Kundara. KEL, Alind, Starch and ofcourse Cyramics are very near to the site. If planned with a futuristic vision, the excess and unused land of these companies can be utilized for the expansion of Kollam Techno Park. Kundara is very well connected to Kollam city and the adjoining major towns like Kottarakkara and Punalur with good roads and railway line.Excellent start for the Kollam Techno Park thread. Some nice and attractive building suiting the natural scenes there will make the park more picturesque.
Also, there are many industries owned by the government in Kundara which are not functioning properly like the Starch, Alind etc. Government can even think of integrating these land with the Techno Park at Kundara so that the expansion plans of the park will be relatively easier in future. Alind has huge area (more than 100 acres) under their custody.
Hi Arshad, Great news. But this news is more relevant in the Palakkad thread or the Kerala Development and Projects thread. This thread is related to projects and news related to Kollam Techno Park only.
