Kurilpa?? I've never heard of it and I've spent most of my life in Brisbane.
It's the name of the area GoMA is built on and also I believe the name of the one of the stretches of the river around there.Kurilpa?? I've never heard of it and I've spent most of my life in Brisbane.
kurilpa point is the name of the bend in the river where the william jolly bridge crossesKurilpa?? I've never heard of it and I've spent most of my life in Brisbane.
The issues often arise because something called development would be happening in and near West End...the NIMBY capital of Brisbane!!Seems fairly well laid out, i wouldn't see too many issues arising at all.
True, but its away from the true heart of West End so there wont probably be NIMBY issuesThe issues often arise because something called development would be happening in and near West End...the NIMBY capital of Brisbane!!
Not really. There is always a little bit of complaint about development everywhere, but development of Kurilpa hasn't annoyed anyone siginficantly to actually do anything about it. Compare this to the anti- groups organised for the Hale Street Bridge and a development on Annerley road. I remember the article in the West Ender a few weeks ago which was on this topic, and there was no mention of lack of support for the developments.^^There has actually already been quite a big uproar over this already saying it will destroy the character of the area.
HA. My words exactly. EXACTLY. :cheers:That part of Brisbane won't have any NIMBY issues (I am a NIMBY freak of West End) since it is currently a cluster f*** of homeless, toxic waste, abandoned factories and warehouses.
Clean it up, I say, just leave the rest of West End intact![]()
