Kuwait Environment Thread

Of all the issues discussed in our forums, I've noticed a distinct lack of an environment-based discussion so... here we are.

To kick things off, I found this KUNA link about how the Minister of Oil is increasing awareness of CO2 emissions and air pollution. I think this is great to see in an important time of environmental consciousness since I've always felt that Kuwait never allotted enough attention to local green issues. For instance, we don't have emission control for our cars, no decently-functioning agency that monitors air pollutant levels or anything proper for that matter so it's good to see some ministry initiative starting to bring this to light.

Who knows what the near future holds?
