Kyrgyz oil traders predict decrease in high octane gasoline price
Kyrgyz oil traders predict a decrease in the price of high octane gasoline in the second half of January, KyrTAG news agency reported on Tuesday.

"A reduction in the price for high octane gasoline is being discussed. It is quite possible that in the second half of January this fuel will become cheaper by 30-50 tiyins per litre, that means prices will return to their previous level," Kyrgyz Oil Traders Association President Zhumakadyr Akeneev said.

Tajik national air carrier resumes flights to Bishkek
DUSHANBE, February 21, 2014, Asia-Plus - Tajik national air carrier, Tajik Air, has resumed flights to the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek after a 23-day interruption, the Tajik Air press center reported on February 21.

As usual, Tajik Air will operate the once-weekly service to Bishkek on Wednesdays, the source said.

As Kyrgyzstan Joins Russia's Eurasian Economic Union, Not Everyone's Happy


BISHKEK — The former Soviet republic of Kyrgyzstan is poised to become the fifth member of the Russia-driven Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) on May 9, but not all the country's residents are thrilled about it.

Alina, a teacher in Bishkek and a native of the city, is one of many feeling apprehensive. "I can't imagine any positive outcomes," said the 24-year-old. She, like everyone else interviewed for this article, requested that only her first name be used for fear of backlash from employers or family in a country where the concept of freedom of speech is nascent at best.

Kyrgyzstan's new prime minister sworn in
Temir Sariyev was sworn in as Kyrgyz prime minister with all members of the new government present on Wednesday, two weeks after the former prime minister, Joomart Otorbayev, announced his resignation.

The new government led by Sariyev pledged allegiance to the country and its people in front of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev and the parliament.

The nomination of Sariyev and the new government were approved on April 30 in the parliament.

List of countries whose citizens exempt from registration within five days in Kyrgyzstan

The list of countries, whose nationals are exempt from registration in Kyrgyzstan within five days, will be approved on December 19, 2016. Press service of the government reported.

Recall, a law under which foreigners must register within 5 days after arrival in the country came into effect in Kyrgyzstan on November 4, 2016. After many complaints, it was promised to cancel the law and return the old simplified regime of stay of foreigners.
