"L" Train expansion?

So I was planning a trip to Skokie and in their website, www.skokie.org there is a part where the Yellow Line will have a new stop, which will be at Oakton! And then I wondered if the Red Line was going to expand or if we were bringing in new CTA Lines, especially into the West to maybe connect into other parts of town, such as Beverly or something? Does anybody know anything? Or any new stops in existing lines? Such as the Brown Line?

there has also been talk/planning about adding a new yellow line stop at either ridge or dodge in evanston, along with possibly also extending the yellow line all the way up to old orchard.

I've seen such a plan. I have no idea how serious it is.
