As far as Resorts World, to attract the Red-loving Asians, you have to incorporate Red into the architecture. Red is the color of joy to them.

And you can well bet the 4's will be removed from the Elevator cars. If you go to the Palazzo Hotel, get on the elevator some time and see that after the number 39, next number is 50! The Asians view the number 4 as bad luck, 8's being good luck.

No, the hotel is not 64 stories, it's 54 stories.

I noticed that when I used to do massage in Las Vegas, doing outcalls at the luxury hotels. No 4's. But then, Americans are superstitious about 13 and if you add 1 +3 you get 4!!

Caesars FORUM update

Does anyone know what really behind the lack of light rail or monorail expansion is in Las Vegas, with the exception of the 9-10,000 taxi drivers? Koch Brothers?

The Koch Brothers tried to hard to defeat the expansion of the light rail in Phoenix, but the Mayor of Phoenix prevailed, thank God!

Before I left Las Vegas, 2 years ago, I was going to the RTC meetings on getting that light rail line built from the Airport to DT, and they were very optimistic it would happen, at least then. But I hear now that it's not going to happen!

I would think that all the tourists that travel to Las Vegas, from cities that have substantial light rail, would be protesting in some way, that they can't hop on a train at the Airport and travel down the Strip or to downtown.

I have always thought that there was no other reason than that. 10000 taxi drivers and their family members are many voters after all

Now, I guess everyone is waiting for Elon Musk's transportation system that is being built at the Convention Center: https://www.lvloop.com/vegasloop

With Raiders Stadium Opening

Now that the Dream is proposed for the south end of the strip by the Welcome Sign and the former SkyVue site going to highest bidder Auction, what are the chances that with the foot traffic and who knows what else going on at Allegient Stadium that more substantial developments and who knows maybe even a themed casino get proposed south of The Tropicana and north of the Dream?

Any chance that once this open they use this as a reason to build another hotel tower? I know early models showed up to 4 towers at one point.

The project has been downscaled over and over. The unfinished adjoined tower is proof of that. It was going to be the top notch brand hotel (LXR resort), wich will now be housed in the main tower.
Despite the forthcoming attractions, there is still oversupply of hotel rooms, I fear

I quote textually: "The north tower will remain as a 10 story tower." You can read the latest site plan here: https://agenda.co.clark.nv.us

There are rumors that the SkyVue site will be bought by MGM resorts to use it as an outdoor festivals ground and I think that it is a good use of that plot. It is located too far south to lure the needed crowd of people to make a casino succeed

I could see it being a viable location for a casino, especially seeing that Mandalay Bay and Luxor are both across the street from this site and just north is where they had been having concerts prior to the Las Vegas Strong Event. It's not out of walking distance from MGM just to the north and the traffic it draws along with the fact that the new Stadium is only 3/5th of a mile west of here and it will have at least 100 events a year going on at it. IMO it's in a far better spot on the strip than trying to get to the Strat from the majority of the other strip resorts.
