LGBT Friendly/Unfriendly Cities

Hi
I just want to know which cities are considered as LGBT friendly cities? I know San Francisco is right there at the top but there are many others. Also are there places that must be avoided by LGBT travelers?

Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Key West.

Vancouver and Toronto in Canada.

Friendly : Cape Town, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Queenstown and Wellington.
Unfriendly : probably many African and Muslim cities.
