Je le sais que Mauroy n'est plus le maire de Lille depuis longtemps ( Doctorat en Scence Po ). Stereotype Americain non, la verite c'est que en 1988 j'ai decide de quitter La France et de m'installer aux USA afin de profiter d'un climat plus favorable a un chef d'entreprise. En France on n'aimais pas que j'ai un MBA de UCLA et un doctorat de Boston University ( en Science Po). Je partage mon temps entre Dallas ou je suis base, Johannesburg Afrique Du Sud , et j'ai deux residences en France a Versailles et a Canet Plage, Roussillon . Pour autre information j'ai joue du Rugby de haut niveau en Afrique du Sud ( Transvaal Lions, maintenant Golden Lions/Xerox Lions dans la S14 et Currie cup). Finalle annecdocte, puisque l'on parle de Lille j'ai gagne le 80m des championats de France d'atlethisme a Villeneuve D'ascq en 1976 , et je represente le Lycee Hoche de Versailles.

Ok désolé alors mais votre message précédant me paraissait un peu caricatural surtout après avoir lu que vous étiez de Dallas sur votre carte de membre. Mais dans le fond je suis d'accord avec vous sur ce que vous dites. Moi ce qui m'exaspère c'est la lourdeur administrative en France qui ralentit beaucoup de projets de stade actuellement.

^^Quant au financement il représente une partie infime du budget de la LMCU et il n'y aura pas de hausse des impôts directement liés.

That's a moot point imho :lol: !!!! But, "take it easy" because we already talked and debated about that (the bloody cost of Lille stadium !!) few pages earlier and also in the 'France stadiums and arenas' thread, and of course, in the French part of this forum :cheers:!

Ok I don't know well the forum :lol: But to live in Lille, and talk with persons who know well the project and the budget of LMCU, I can say the cost of the project is not so important against the rest of the budget of LMCU.

Where exactly is this project? Is it sure it's u/c now as the category says? Or it's waiting for permission to build? Are there secure financial plans for building the stadium?

Hi! The building site continue. For the moment, that is a at the level of the ground work. They fill in the holes named "catiches" for the moment with cement.

What about transportations around the stadium? Judging from the pics it seems to be located in the suburbs of the city.

Yes, it's located in the suburbs of the city, in Villeneuve d'Ascq (the same city of the actual Lille Stadium). There are 3 underground stations around the future arena (15 minutes to go). There will be a future bus line. There is the ring which go in front the arena.
