^^ I disagree Sercan. To let (some) daylight through is raising the atmosphere imho. See for example the Signal Iduna Park where there are no holes or openings at the of the stands, but there are windows leaving light through. That is quite an assett to a nice stadium in my opinion.

Stadiums like the Amsterdam ArenA (of which I am not a fan btw) and especially the Arena Auf Schalke let loads of more daylight into the stadium. That looks much, much better imho.

I don't see where " more daylight" come into the stadium :|

Yeah, I was there exactly 1 year ago. Fantastic stadium.

Everybody can clearly see that there is a lot of light coming through the roof covers. Much more then in Lille where that is covered. Also the roof construction is architecturaly considerably lighter. The design of the Auf Schalke Arena is in my book much, much better, more open and much lighter to see. :)

I'm sorry but veltins arena doesn't impress me . Solna and Lille surpass it now.

Loving the exterior lighting! The facade also looked like glass from an aerial you posted earlier, which of course is cool.
It would be odd if a new stadium build in 2012 wasn't better than a stadium build in 2001.

I have been to Veltins Arena and it is a nice stadium but the shadows from the roof and the huge wall around the pitch is a huge let down.
If you look fast, there's a chance you'll think it's a mall, not a stadium  still a beautiful arena

Yeah the exterior is really something else
