Línea 1 - Tramo hecho, por construir y proyección futura

La Línea 1 de la Red del Tren Urbano de Lima está planificada para enlazar el distrito Villa El Salvador, que se localiza en la zona sur de Lima, con el distrito San Juan de Lurigancho en el noreste de la Ciudad Capital. Integrando en su recorrido también a los distritos: Villa María del Triunfo, San Juan de Miraflores, Santiago de Surco, Surquillo, San Borja, San Luis, La Victoria y el Cercado de Lima. Más de 3 millones habitantes en los 10 distritos servidos por la Línea 1, representan el 41% de la población total de Lima Metropolitana.


El trazo de la Línea 1 se desarrolla de sur a noreste, sobre los ejes de las avenidas: Separadora Industrial, Unión, Pachacutec, De los Héroes, Santiago de Surco (Ex Tomas Marsano), Aviación, Grau, Locumba, Próceres de la Independencia y Wiese. La infraestructura de la Línea 1 proyecta 26 estaciones de pasajeros y un viaducto principalmente elevado a doble vía, que tendrá una longitud total aproximada de 34 kilómetros.

El concesionario se hará cargo de la operación y mantenimiento de la infraestructura ya existente y la nueva. Asimismo, tendrá la obligación de adquirir nuevos vagones y equipar las estaciones.

Por su parte, el consorcio ganador de las obras de infraestructura, tendrá la tarea de construir los viaductos para que la Línea 1 llegue hasta la Av. Grau, en el Cercado de Lima y a la vez tendrá que remodelar las estaciones existentes así como poner a punto los viaductos y vías existentes, que se encuentran algo descuidados.

De acuerdo al cronograma, el Gobierno Central solicitó un préstamo a la CAF y este fue aprobado con posterioridad.

Hago énfasis en la parte donde dice que el préstamo incluye una partida para iniciar los estudios para la ampliación de la Línea 1 desde la Av. Gradu (hasta donde llegará en esta etapa) hasta San Juan de Lurigancho.

Con el crédito ya aprobado, el gobierno, luego de algunos retrasos, logró convocar a una licitación. Se presentaron 5 postores, de los cuales, sólo 3 han precalificado.

Los postores calificados son los siguientes:

  • Consorcio Tren Eléctrico de Lima: Constructora Norberto Odebrecht S.A. Sucursal Perú (Brasil) y Graña y Montero GYM (Perú).
  • Consorcio Metropolitano: Constructora Andrade Gutiérrez S.A. Sucursal Perú (Brasil) y Gallegos-Casabonne-Arango-Quesada Ingenieros (Perú)
  • Consorcio Trenlima: Astalpadi (Italia), Cosapi (Perú) y JJC Contratistas (Perú).

Los otros dos postores, que quedaron fuera del proceso fueron:

  • Consorcio Obrascon Huarte Laín OHL -S&Z Consultores: OHL (España) y S&Z Consultores.
  • CETC Construcciones (China)
OHL no aprobó por incumplir el monto mínimo exigido como líneas de crédito (US$410 millones) y por no acreditar el capital social mínimo exigido para el proceso (US$225 millones). CETC no llegó si quiera a ser considerada pre-calificada.

El consorcio que gane la buena pro, tendrá un plazo de 18 meses para terminar la obra. El monto a invertir es de 500 millones de dólares.

Ya se ha avanzado, paralelamente, en otras partes de la obra.

Procesos adjuntos:

  • Supervisión de las obras: El ganador de la buena pro de la Supervisión de las Obras fue el consorcio peruano-suizo Cesel-Pöyry. Fue el único postor y ganó la buena pro con una propuesta de 13 millones 386 mil 258. 32 soles (Aproximadamente US$ 4.5 millones).
  • Expropiación de Terrenos: A la vez, el Poder Ejecutivo autorizó al Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones a expropiar 11 predios ubicados en el Cercado de Lima para la realización de las obras. El área total a expropiar asciende a 3 mil 234 metros cuadrados, divididos en predios cuya superficie va desde los 52 hasta los 1,350 metros cuadrados. El costo de la expropiación será de S/.4 millones (Aproximadamente US$1.4 millones). Se financiará la expropiación con los recursos del ministerio en mención.

Si no hay ningún atraso (ya ha habido muchos), la entrega de la buena pro para las obras de infraestructura será el 23 de noviembre. Esperemos a que llegue ese día. El siguiente proceso es la entrega de la buena pro al consorcio que se encargará de operar la Línea 1.

I was under the impression that part of line 1 was already running, is that correct?

My impression was that it ran from October 2002 for free as a trial, commenced revenue service in January of 2003, was suspended in July of 2003 and returned to service in January of 2004. Of course this only applies to the first section from Villa El Salvador to Atocongo.

I've been following the LIMA | Metro - Train Electrical | Construction and News thread for a while, using Google Toolbar's spotty translation abilities, and....

Indeed the full second phase of the Metro, shown red on this map:


is under construction to a point in central Lima. Construction is proceeding very quickly since virtually the entire extension is elevated over various of the city's wide boulevards, and the planned opening date is June 2011. But...

There's big problem. Apparently no one got around to ordering more cars until earlier this year. Moreover, Lima wants rebuilt cars, not new ones, to save money, so their options are somewhat limited. If I read and remember correctly, a delegation from Peru visited Japan to meet with the most likely supplier, and was told that there was no way the cars could be ready until September 2011. OMFG, three months late! So, the Peruvians walked out! Now no one knows when or even if the cars will arrive. :eek:hno:

The current fleet of cars is adequate to provide trains every 19 minutes, while trains every 6 minutes are the target, and I wouldn't be surprised if more are needed within a few years of the line's opening even if the northern extension doesn't move forward promptly. IMO, not taking the Japanese up on their offer was mind-bogglingly stupid, and is a continuation of Peru's unfortunate history of using the Lima Metro as a political token rather than a transportation investment.

But I'm a norteamericano, so what do I know? :p

Tram History Lima.

The tram Lima was a mass transit opened in 1878 and closed in 1965.

In 1826 the Peruvian government facilitated the construction of a rail network became the first country in South America with this type of transport. Years later, the steam railroad, which began operations in 1851, between Lima and Callao was the second in South America.

I believe Rome will supply us with 5 refurbished trains made up of 6 cars each. However, by the time the third phase is under construction, we should have 15 trains in total (we already have 5)
