What will the Capacity be during the UEFA Champions League Final?
^^

61 thousand, according to some sources.

(4 thousand remaining seats are for Benfica's Eagle family and friends.:lol::lol:)

However
, believe it or not, only 37 thousand of them are for fans:

* 17 thousand each for both finalists.
* 3 thousand for general public

* UEFA will distribute 40% of the total capacity for National Federations, Sponsors, affiliate companies, broadcasters, etc > 24 thousand tickets (!)

Modern football...:dunno:
Now, if you don't mind the double post:

Do you have a new trophy in Portugal?
Do you have a new trophy in Portugal?
Yes, since 2011.

The trophy is attributed by the Portuguese League of Professional Football, that is an autonomous organism of the Portuguese Football Federation.

the older trophy was way better

No intent to criticise, but it should be this way or at least similar every matchday, not only during championship celebration.
What do you mean?
Because if you're talking about attendances, you're failing the picture.
In a country in deep crisis and with expensive tickets, Benfica has a very respectable home attendance, and actually outside the Big 5 championships, Benfica is within the top-10 European clubs with the highest average attendances.

Besides, even if we count all Big-5 championships, the club's position is quite high.
I said I had no intent to critcise anyone. I guess everyone has his reasons, but it's a fact, that these faboulous pictures should be seen more often that the emoty seats. Anywhere, not only da Luz. Benfica has the base to do it. Maybe there is a formula to achieve it.
Why my post were deleted?
I put photos of Benfica's party, after winning the 33th title. Yes, that is not inside the stadium, but this party represents Benfica and their fans. At the end of the game the authorities prevent the invasion of the field, with the purpose of the team and fans join in the center of Lisbon.

But you are criticising, and with no reason. I still don't understand what is your point. Portugal is in deep crisis, football in Portugal is expensive, people cannot pay for season tickets, international games, club's association fees all the time.

Benfica's home attendances are the 4th best in the Iberian Peninsula, among the top-8 in the Premiership, among the top-5 in Italy, and top-2 in France.

Do you want a formula? Bring back the best Portuguese players into the championship, lower ticket prices, and allow the lower teams to get more pieces of the TV revenues.

Let's see some examples:

Full crowd > means attendances higher OR near 60 thousand, and all available tickets were sold; if max. capacity is not achieved is for several reasons, like season tickets holders missed the game, or there was lesser tickets for public sale for security reasons, or away team didn't return their tickets they didn't sell.

All attendances figures were rounded, but they are official.

* Full crowd, 64 thousand, Highest attendance game of the Portuguese League, against Olhanense.

sicnoticias

* Full crowd, 62 and half thousand, against Porto, second highest attendance game of the championship.

globoesporte

* Against Estoril, 56.700,third largest attendance game of the League. Probably less than 8 thousand tickets for sale and i'm not sure if Full crowd.

from aminhachama.blog

* Against Académica, 49.300, 4th largest attendance game of the League. Aprox. less than 15 thousand tickets for sale.

* Against Sporting, postponed game for the middle of the week, 49 thousand, probably higher attendance in the first game. 5th largest attendance game of the Portuguese League.

benficagloriosoblog

* Against Rio Ave, 46 thousand, 8th largest attendance game of the league. Couldn't find a good picture.

And so on... like i said, at European level, and despite all what is happening in Portugal, Benfica's attendances are high.

So there you have it.

You are still convinced I was criticisig, but that wasn't the case, I just wished, that some circumstances you mentioned, could be achieved in reaity, so that this kind of atmosphere could be made possible (almost) every matchday. Big clubs and big leagues should have that. How to achieve it... I guess there are many ways.
The problem is that every time there's always someone that has the need to point out the fact that Portuguese stadiums don't sell out. Yeah, we know that already, thank you.

Outside of Germany, England, France (?), what country has packed stadiums everywhere? Not even Italy or Spain (only the big clubs). And yet, I don't see that kind of posts for other countries.

Do you have a new trophy in Portugal?
That one is given by the Portuguese League. Porto won one of those last year.

But the one that people consider to be the true trophy is the one on the left, made by the Portuguese FA:

We'll have to wait until next season to see it though, as always. xD

I have a hunch you may redeem the Guttmann curse this season. ;)
Me too. I think that the curse is over, finally. The old Benfica is back

In 2014, SL Benfica plays in the UEFA Europa League Final (in Torino) while their host stadium hosts the UEFA Champions League Final. History awaits.:banana::)
