The China's data is wrong,China has surpassed 9,412,361 in 2005,how come 2006 down to 8,877,080 .

In my opinion, it doesn't make much sense to compare the total GDP of countries with huge populations like China and India to those with rather small populations like England, France or Germany. Looking at per capita values, as Future fortunetaly has calculated (at least) for several countries in his last post is much more useful as it is far more indicative for the actual development level of a country ...

Oh, and comparing cities like Hong Kong to whole countries including huge rural areas is (wether by per capita values or total figures) even more useless than spreading this topic in every single subboard of the asian forums ( =Spam... ;) @ fttd )
