Amazing SE9...

Can I ask, do you have some kind database for all this information that you keep up to date? Otherwise it must've taken you hours to compile all of that.

I like that we now have a list of the highrise buildings that actually are under construction.

At the same time though, I'm worried that we have so many proposals, even approved ones, and only 12 of them are actually on this list. And from these, 2 are reclads (Southbank tower will also have a slight height increase), and 2 have topped out. That leaves us with just 8 towers (the tallest of which is just 163m!!). So I'm either too impatient or highrise projects in London take ages to break ground at times when demand is so high!

Sidenote: Is Heron Plaza actually U/C? Didn't know that.

WOW! Thanks SE9!

Remember back in the day after the full summary there was like a big ass skyline render?
Wish someone had the talent and time to do one of those! I certainly haven't lol

Lol- I think the word your looking for is spoiled.

If you would have said to someone in 2004 when the most you could look forward to was a piddly 24floor resi tower which was about 80m U/C that there would be a year when 12 towers of at least 100m were U/C you would have thought all your Christmases had come at once.

If it makes you feel any better there will probably be another dozen towers U/C this year and I think 40MW should be added to the current U/C list.

Heron Plaza should to starting basement works soon hence being in the U/C

Great work here. It would be extraordinary if most of these approved/proposed actually started construction. One that is missing is Cuba Street. Has this now been ditched. I know it was initially rejected so perhaps it is now dead and buried. Pity as it was a refreshingly new looking style for the Wharf.

Cuba St is dead which is a shame as it was one of the best proposals for South Quay.

TH & GLA wanted a height reduction but the developers wouldn't budge so the whole application has lapsed. Just another example of the bad policies and decision making. Apparently taller towers are allowed and approved on the next plot but towers here are deemed to be to tall ( see also 225 MW and Skylines refusals for equally bizarre decision making).

The Crystal Palace redevelopment

I have been accessing this site everyday since 2003, but never registered
i thought start a new year fully participating

SE9 great work as ever. there is so much going on. I do not see a rather big omission. namely The Crystal Palace redevelopment which this year will see some progress as regards to the plans and the NIMBYS moving into full gear
