Excellent work, SE9 (as always). I can think of one that is missing: Plot NO201 Greenwich Peninsula (114m) by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands (unless it has been refused). Otherwise those two festering projects are still around - Doon Street and the Quill!

I think Doon Street is stuck in the works because of the KCL light issues.

Agreed on plot N0201.

Initially i thought 225 Marsh Wall was missing, but this was withdrawn.

This is an excellent list and obviously a lot of hard work to be appreciated by all.

But looking at the projects themselves it does show how the last decade we have been spoilt with excellent and world-class proposals that have become reality, but that going forward we have lost that sense of individuality and originality in tall buildings and are in danger of becoming another bland and generic city of cookie-cutter square blocks.

There are a few diamonds here, but not much of this excites me like the similar list did a decade ago. London needs to shake off this 'austerity-aesthetic' era and reignite its desire for an instantly memorable and forward-looking skyline, for I fear we are in danger of repeating the mistakes of the 1960s when it comes to throwing up the rather staid and bland proposals we are seeing the majority of here. We need braver, bolder architects to propose truly imaginative and forward-thinking designs and look beyond the safe and standardised.

I'm most excited for 13-14 Appold Street and 2-3 Finsbury Avenue Square. Those two will really help to bring the City of London cluster, Broadgate and London Wall together as well as help to fill in the St Paul's sightline view when looking dead on at the cluster east or west. Fingers crossed for some movement on those two in 2018.

Thanks for posting.

Similar thoughts to DarJole; the signature projects that we looked to some years ago have been diluted and VE'd to an extent that - from afar - London's skyscraper skyline looks like an inchoate jumble of generic glass bulks. Up close, the glossy bluey-green facades are what you get, which is at least better than some of the awful facade components e.g. on Newfoundland Tower. There are some exceptions, of course - I think Blackfriars Tower ended up rather nice, and Vauxhall Cross and Bishopsgate Plaza have potential.

What I think is more interesting is actually the smaller developments which are artfully designed and improve - if gentrify - various neighbourhoods, or create new ones entirely (e.g. Battersea) around open spaces and plazas. It'll be interesting to see whether these will be allowed to develop organically with its own microculture, or will remain tightly controlled, hard-scaped corporate plazas (e.g. More London) owned by private developers, with the only street decoration being the hi-vis jackets of minimum wage security guards.

BTW, I used to go to London diagram on sister-site Skyscraperpage to see all of London's skyscrapers on a page - is anybody still updating it (understanding that drawing the skyscrapers is time-consuming)?

Frankly i'm in awe of anyone who can draw skyscrapers as intricate and detailed.
I'm learning to draw architecture at 1:10 etc scale, look at your finger nails, that's how thick a beam is; a window would be about two fingers thick maximum. It takes hours, back breaking stuff. If you're wondering, yes I'm training to become an architect.

Happy New Year to everyone.....I've been a lurker on this site for some time and I've finally summoned the courage to actually get involved. I just wanted to say thanks to all of the regular contributers to this site who have made it so interesting for the rest of us. Special mentions to SE9 (this thread is incredible) and Chest (best photos across the whole of SSC by a mile). The star for me is London- definitely the best city on the planet and its just going to look better and better in the years to come

Another potential and obvious plan for Croydon being worked up as the current estate has masses of empty and underutilised space and is in a bad state...

Wellesley Road Masterplan

The proposals restore a coherent urban grain with new pedestrian vehicular routes defining well–scaled residential blocks. A central landscape park provides a setting for three tall buildings and the backdrop to the proposed primary and secondary school.

Ridiculous. They really are ruining the area with unwanted ugly redevelopment.
I agree, the current building could simply be cleaned or redeveloped behind a retained facade. What's proposed does nothing but highlight the overdevelopment of Ten Rochester Road next door. That development should not have been built at the scale it was, which has provided a precedent (in scale) for this new proposal.
I'm not even sure Prince Charles could help with this one. His intervention at Chelsea Barracks resulted in something similar to this bland and bloated proposal being built there, where there could have been something far more sympathetic (surroundings wise) and of quality built. We have something of quality here, not looking its best, but rectifiable and certainly preferable to the proposals.

The building should of been listed but like many buildings of this era for some reason they are not deemed worth saving? Personally I like the Neo Georgian look of this building. The charmless lump that's proposed is nothing but over development.

Any ideas as to why the expensive cobblestones of Monmouth Street have been tarmaced over? Monmouth was the prime example of how to do attractive public realm, but now it looks kind of shit, with cars and patchy tarmac...
