London skyline 2012

Here are some renderings I did recently, showing how the City of London might appear in 5-7 years' time.
All of these buildings are approved, with the exception of the DIFA Tower (300m) at the centre of the cluster,
which is being submitted for planning permission next month.

For those who don't know, a similar number of towers are also planned for Canary Wharf in the Docklands.

Also, this view doesn't include London Bridge Tower (306m/71 storeys), which would stand just off the right edge
of this view. Another skyscraper, the Broadgate Tower (165m), would appear just off the left edge.

Several other skyscrapers are planned for Vauxhall, Stratford and Croydon, along with dozens of smaller
midrises (80-140m) elsewhere in the city.

The City as it appears today.

Black-and-white versions. I thought I would include these because they seem to "blend" slightly better and look a bit more convincing than colour ones.

This is meant to simulate a night-time view. A realistic night-time shot would have taken absolutely ages to create, so in the end I just decided to make a negative/inverted version. Not very realistic, but it gives a vague impression of darkness.

London Bridge Tower, which as explained, will appear just off the right edge of the view. If you exclude Moscow, then this will become the tallest building in Europe:

Great skyline renders!
So the LTB will be apart from both CW and the City?
I hope they build DIFA Tower. It will look good in the middle of the cluster.
EEEEEEEEWWWWW.......... London looks so grey!

I prefer Istanblue: Blue sky, blue sea, blue towers, blue bridges.

And you get green hills plus lots of sunshine as a bonus.

( Let the war begin... :bleh: :colgate: )

i.e. Where's Monkeypoo???

and you get these hills full of sprawling slums.I still preferering the "grey" LDN ;)
Will, do it again, but with a nicer base picture and I think the 51lime st rendering is the out of date drawing.

Do you have to ruin every thread with the same old pictures?
I really like the design of London Bridge Tower, do you have more renderings?
future london looks nice but still it is not as great as Francfort or LD. Istanbul, lol, what a joke, they could have put some more planning in this. The highrise just doesn't fit in the landscape.
One thing I like about London though, it is not that dense and therefore not cliche rather unique, kind of giving the area some strange surreal aura, too dense it will definitely not suit London.
