A few shots of London from Alexandra Palace and Victoria Dock in East London.

1.
General view from Alexandra Palace which is located in Northern part of London and offers large open views including the skylines of the City and Canary Wharf

2.
City of London skyline... not too much to look at at the moment. It should improve in a few years time

3.
Broadgate Tower looking quite tragic from this angle

4.

5.
The new B2007 Docklands Light Railway stock... looking slightly better than the old ones but inside it's the same old story - no aircon, horrible ride comfort and that terrible shaking even on straight tracks (anyone knows why?). I had to use this 'thing' only because the Jubilee Line was shut (again usual story on weekends)

6.

7.
Victoria Dock which is one of a few modern 'oases' in London developed in a former dock area and built up with new residentials, hotels and the huge ExCeL center

8.
One of the reasons to come there - unrivaled view of Canary Wharf

London is stunning. It is always pleasure to see new pictures of the city.
very nice.:)
Awesome pictures. Thanks a lot!
Docklands are so lovely, IMHO
a great set of photos, i particularly liked the close ups of the crowns of T42 and st mary's axe
It must be great to work in the offices of the top floors of buildings like Gherkin of One Canada Square. The view is certainly stunning and inspiring. We dont get these here in my country.:eek:hno:
/\ Well, I'd trade UK's skyscrapers for Portugal's scenery and climate any day :D
^^
That seems to be exactly what many Britons (especially retired) are doing - moving to Spain or Portugal. And I see their point. When it comes to climate UK is certainly not the most exciting place in the world.

Well, that's a point of view:lol:. But I would still go for London and its skyscrapers.

Well, the British and the Germans make up almost 60% of tourists in Algarve.
