A few shots of London from Alexandra Palace and Victoria Dock in East London.

1.
General view from Alexandra Palace which is located in Northern part of London and offers large open views including the skylines of the City and Canary Wharf

2.
City of London skyline... not too much to look at at the moment. It should improve in a few years time

3.
Broadgate Tower looking quite tragic from this angle

4.

5.
The new B2007 Docklands Light Railway stock... looking slightly better than the old ones but inside it's the same old story - no aircon, horrible ride comfort and that terrible shaking even on straight tracks (anyone knows why?). I had to use this 'thing' only because the Jubilee Line was shut (again usual story on weekends)

6.

7.
Victoria Dock which is one of a few modern 'oases' in London developed in a former dock area and built up with new residentials, hotels and the huge ExCeL center

8.
One of the reasons to come there - unrivaled view of Canary Wharf

What! So few comments...

Pansori, these pictures are fantastic. I never get bored of London skyline photography and have an almost fetishistic obsession with night time pictures with all buildings lit up.

Never seen such a detailed picture of the crown of T42 before. So good!

Absolutley fantastic Photo's! the T42 picture is my new wallpaper! you must have an amazing camera the detail is so clear. Love the Gherkin shots too!
Ooh and you should post these in the world forums if you haven't already!
Thanks guys, very much appreciated. I use a simple camera, a rather old 350D which is a very basic dSLR with very basic lens. Yes, London has some magnificent angles, especially during the 'magic hour' i.e. when it's not completely dark but building are lit up.

@.Adam
I have posted it in Urban Showcase as well.

P.S. What annoys me though, is the security guys telling me that 'it is not allowed to take photos without permission'... even when I was taking the picture of the city hall. I mean Wtf, it is an open public space of a city. Who is giving them such retarded orders to chase photographers? They won't mind in the day as crowds of tourists are taking photos but soon as they see a guy with a tripod in the evening that's it. Of course I could just ignore them since there is no legal base of forcing me out or not allowing me to step just meters away from the 'private property' line but I just really don't like finding myself in conflicts or other negative situations... I mean that that's just really annoying :(
