It is here!. (once again)

You might remember the London 3D Project.
A project where i tried to do all of Central London for google earth.
Well as some may remember, it didn't really work out.
BUT!
I/we are back. Me and UkBuilder, will do the project (once again)
But this time we will use textures, instead the other things i used before.
I will do Downtown while UKbuilder will start of in the Westminster part.

The first models have already been uploaded, and accepted in google earth. But there is still a long way to go before the project is totally back on its feet again.
We Hope you will keep on following the project as it gets bigger.

I will make some updates sometimes, showing how many models me And UKbuilder has got I google earth and google sketchup.

Monday - 15th november:
UKbuilder:
Sketchup - 7
Google earth - 0 (None has been accepted yet.)
Earthbuilder:
Sketchup - 13
Google earth - 7

Thuesday - 24th november
Ukbuilder
Sketchup - 13
google earth - 10
Earthbuilder
sketchup - 18

Excellent. Will get on to it as often as I can.

Someone has posted this Youtube tour of Manhattan. The bar has been set.

Thanks for helping ;) And I just saw the video. Looks good, maybe we should do this when the project is done.

Project update 9th of December 2010!

UKbuilder:
Sketchup - 34 models
Google earth - 19 models
Pending - 14 models
Rejected - 0 models

Earthbuilder:
Sketchup - 28
Google earth - 19
Pending - 7
Rejected - 2

News!

At this point, Earthbuilder will keep one modeling in the downtown district. Specifically around St Paul’s Cathedral.
Meanwhile Ukbuilder will be modeling in the Holborn and Covent garden area. He will be working on uniting Downtown and Westminster. But while working on the bridge, he will not do models in Westminster or Southbank. But he will return to those area after finishing the bridge.
Would you like to be a volunteer? contact us at [email protected]!

yes. that's been around for a while now... it looks great if you have a computer powerful enough to run the *entire* model cached like this

would you like me to supply you both with the precise heights for the buildings you're doing?
Yes. We would be very happy if you would be able to give us information on buildings. But at this point only building that are 50 meters or over. If you want more information, then be sure to contact [email protected]
