Los Angeles - Wildfire north of city center

A fire started in a large city park of LA north of downtown on Tuesday. The fire is still burning, but mostly under control. The park contains the city zoo, 3 golf courses, an observatory along with other assets. Area neighborhoods were evacuated on Tuesday, but residents are being allowed back in. Looks devastating. How long didn't it rain before the fire?
