The LRT Line 1 Cavite Extension Project

BRIEF BACKGROUND
Extension of the existing 20.7 kms. LRT Line 1 by approximately 11.7 kms. from Baclaran to Bacoor including the initial Rolling stocks (39 trainsets).

Eight (8) passenger stations inclusive of one (1) satellite depot and three (3) Intermodal facilities;

Operations and Maintenance of the integrated line by the concessionaire with systems enhancement works throughout the concession period.
Project Cost (including ROW) :

Original: P 56.13 Billion
Revised: P 56.13 Billion

Funding Source:

GOP/NG - P 30.594 Billion
Private Sector - P 30.934 Billion

Implementation Scheme: Public Private Partnership (PPP Financing Arrangement)
GOP/Public sector components shall be through Official Development Assistance (ODA) from JICA and National Government Subsidy Appropriation.

PPP CONCESSION STRUCTURE :

Legal Framework: Philippine BOT Law and its IRR - Build-Transfer-Operate(BTO) variant under the BOT Law

Concession Period: 30 years (inclusive of construction period for Cavite Extension)

Counterparties to the Concession:
- Contracting Party: Philippine Government represented by DOTC and LRTA
- Contracted Party: Concessionaire Company


STATUS OF THE PROJECT (as of December 31, 2012)

Submission of prequalification documents was on October 22, 2012; four (4) bidders have been prequalified: DMCI Holdings, Inc., Light Rail Manila Consortium, SMC Infra Resources, Inc., and MTD-Samsung) on the following components:
Operation and Maintenance of the Existing System;
Design, Procurement, Engineering, Construction, Installation, Completion, Testing and Commissioning of the Cavite Extension facilities (Cavite Extension System);
Integration of the Existing System and the Cavite Extension System (Integrated System);
Operation and Maintenance of the Integrated System; and
System Enhancement Works covering whole-of-life investments for the Integrated System.
The General Sub-allotment Release Order (SARO) for the Consultancy Service of Geotechnical, Geological & Topographic Survey amounting to P6 Million was released on December 17, 2012.
Issued Notice of Award on December 17, 2012 to Urban Engineers and SRDP Consulting Inc. JV for the Consultancy Services Geotechnical, Geological and Topographic Survey.
Acquired 83.13% or 215,321.50 sqm. of private and public lots for the Right of Way (ROW). Negotiation with the private property owners is on-going.
Application for Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) remains pending with DENR-EMB.
Negotiation for the construction and completion of the remaining 1,820 housing units is on-going with the local government units of Cavite.

I don't know why some people keeps on requesting to delete this thread if others are requesting not. Perhaps, some sees this thread helpful. If ever there are provisions on thread making that I was not able to follow, I can always edit it out. But if moderators really don't see any benefit of this thread, they can always delete this. Or should I say, they should have deleted this on the first place already. Just my thoughts. :)

No need for a new thread even when construction is starting. The LRT-1 NEP updates were all posted in the Mass Rapid Transit thread back when it was being constructed, so let's just do the same thing. :nuts: este


Plus when it says 'Metro Manila Mass Rapid Transit System', it covers Manila metro lines, and beyond, and that includes LRT-1 SEP, MRT-7/4, and all other rail projects, existing or not, under construction, or proposed, so no need to waste bandwidth on creating a new thread...

wag na sana edelete para my seperate discussion sa Lrt cavite extension at another for MRT 7
Agree din ako. sa lahat ng incoming approved mrt lrt project. ang hirap mang halukay kung nasa iisang thread lang di na matuntun at mapagdugtong dugtong kung ano na ang history at nangyayari sa isang LRT/MRT project. lalo na sa tulad ko na hindi naman pwede magbabad araw araw dito sa website forum na to.

I agree. Though it's upto the moderators. Anyway, what happened to this project? Parang wala pang construction na nangyayari.

Agree din ako. sa lahat ng incoming approved mrt lrt project. ang hirap mang halukay kung nasa iisang thread lang di na matuntun at mapagdugtong dugtong kung ano na ang history at nangyayari sa isang LRT/MRT project. lalo na sa tulad ko na hindi naman pwede magbabad araw araw dito sa website forum na to.
Tama. Mahirap maghalukay. Maganda sana chronological na makikita yung history ng project. Baka dahil may separate thread na ito, mas lalong mapapakinggan tayo ng gobyerno na may need na matuloy ang project na ito. :D

^^ A redundant thread nonetheless. Technically speaking the extension still covers part of Metro Manila (Las Pinas and Paranaque) so it would be foolish to create another thread. This is done to avoid confusion and redundancy in other threads.

This is a new project (upgrade on the existing one) so it deserves a new thread.

At bakit daw hindi na matutuloy ito?

OK lang ang thread na ito. Kaya nga nagkaroon na ng sub-forum ng railways para mag branch out na ang iba't ibang sangay ng railways.. :banana:

Anu pang silbi ng sub-forum kung nasa isang thread lang lahat? :nuts:
