LRT/MONORAIL/MRT Train Announcements and Signage at the station.

IMHO our train announcement should be clear and use the proper voice. recently the new KJ line train announcement not so good compare to the previous one. the best train announcement so far is in the KLIA transit and KLIA express. The voice is clear and the pronouncation was good. Why lrt and monorail cant implement the good one...

The signages at the stations also need to change because the one that using now looks so bad.

why our LRT system cant implement double announcements inside the trains?? means before the trains approaching the stations it will announce the name of the stations again. i already suggest this idea to rapidkl and prasana but no action taken.

Don't think its possible as the distance between the stations here are quite short.

our current LRT dont have any LED indicator/display inside trains. thats why i suggest this idea.

Don't forget also the poor signages at underground station. At some place inside the train you can't see the stations names (blocked by stairs or columns). Last time they had the illuminated station name on the side of the tunnels. Now not anymore.
today i realize that announcement on the Ampang Line actually do the double announcements in trains. i hope KJ line will do the double announcements.
why rapidkl or prasarana did not makeover the dang wangi and masjid jamek undergrounds station? because i saw the interior of the stations looks ugly and dull because of the colour of wall of the stations. why not they change the colour of the stations like kg baru or ampang park. at least they change the colour of the stations.
Today, I heard a new annoucement on SCS KTM Komuter. Impressive! Style!
Hi, I'm a graphic design student and I'm going to work on a project to redesign the wayfinding system of Malaysia's rail transit. I saw all the post, it's interesting but still no action taken by the rapidkl.

So, just throw me a bunch of problems and difficulties that you faced when using our public transport.

This is a leisurely forum, where commuters propose intellectual ways to solve problems, jokers poke fun and say silly things, and a handful of government employees give tonnes of excuses why effecient solutions adopted elsewhere decades ago cannot be replicated locally in the Bolehland.

For example, things such as double cross-platform interchanges, HSR station locations, wayfinding signages, and even bus frequencies will hardly be improved due to lack of political will, couple with an liberal dose of excuses. If you understand that projects are meant to fill up pihak tertentu's pockets, instead of benefitting the rakyat, I don't think you will be surprised at all.
witnessed many tourists couldnt find the name of the monorail stations. no proper signboards, not updated signboard, announcement in train is poor...etc.

Lack of the main entrance sign, should put a very big "KL SENTRAL" sign on top of it. How those foreign visitor suppose to know?

Lack of directional sign, and signage also too small. Can't see it from far.

So sad the monorail needs to hide at a corner

WTF, you mean all the location is the brand?

How people know what station is it?
For me, rapidkl did make wayfinding for navigating people. But i don't see they really put 100% effort on it. The signs is small, not clear and off grid. There is colour code for each line, but it doesn't intergrade into the platform. All elements is not unified, and doesn't present the brand identity.

This link bridge is built and maintained by MRCB's NuSentral. Do you think they would like to have KL Sentral sign on top? Also would a bare "KL Sentral" sign on that link bridge create more confusion? Is it "KL Sentral Monorail station"? Or is it "KL Sentral main station for KTM/LRT/ERL"?

Wayfinding just by RapidKL? That may be the first clue to your problem. Think about this.

Can RapidKL put wayfinding signs on properties not under their control? Who can if RapidKL can't?

One more thing I wish to see, the station layout.

Sorry to say that my "UNITED NATION" style family relatives are having big problems with signage and announcements about KL or Klang Valley public transport system too. My cousins from Japan, my cousins from UK, my cousins from Australia and USA. All of them are complaining about the confusing and lack of proper signage system cum clear and proper announcement of our Malaysian public transport system. My cousins from Japan even claimed that the signage and announcement system at all Malaysia public transport stations and vehicles or rolling stocks were like Tokyo or even Osaka in the late 1960's and early 1970's. I'm so embarrassed about it.

Where do you want to see it?
That example image seems to be a screen capture of a computer screen or something? Is that right?

Personally, I would like to see all Rail stations layouts in KL to be included in Google Indoor Maps.
