Archeologists have discovered a cemetery from the 15th century in the center of the city of Lviv.

They also found sections of the sewage system constructed when the city was under Austro-Hungarian rule. The cemetery was part of a Christian cathedral complex in the city. Twelve burials were discovered, all interred in a Christian manner. The researchers dispelled rumors that the graves were the final resting place for people who died from the black plague or typhus. Archeologists continue work on the over 600 year old find.

Quite interesting actually, I read that it will take 3 years to fully analyze the area, although I hardly doubt city officials will allow such demands. I will be in Lviv this summer and hopefully will be able to take tons of pictures on what's going on there.

That's interesting.

Are they going to uncover the cemetery and leave it on the center just like that, or are the skeletons going to get transferred somewhere else and then close the hole?
