Cool pics. Post some more of these. There's also a road and railway bridge in Allahabad near the Sangam. That's pretty good too. Also the one at Varanasi on the river Ganga.

Rapti River Bridge of Gorakhpur Bypass

Rapti River Bridge was completed in January 2013 as a part of Gorakhpur Bypass in Uttar Pradesh State (north-central India):


In January, Gammon completed a 400 meter bridge over Rapti river in Gorakhpur (UP):

It's nothing impressive, but it forms a key part of the 32 km Gorakhpur bypass on NH28:

10.63-km Kosi River Bridge in Bihar

The large tolled Kosi Mahasetu Bridge completed in February 2012 crosses the River Kosi near Supaul town south of Nepal in Bihar State (eastern India) has transformed logistics in this region.

Kosi Mahasetu on NH57 - opened in Feb 2012, it's a 4 lane 10.63 km-long bridge of which 1.875 km is over the Kosi River near Supaul. This was built by Gammon.

Although Bihar has been the state with the lowest social indicators and infrastructure in India for the past century, Bihar State has shown the highest growth rates in GDP and infrastructure for over a year now.

Some videos originally posted by our moderator IU of one of these achievements: the Kosi Mahasetu Bridge as a part of NH57 (national highway 57).

Ara - Chhapra Bridge, Bihar

A new 4-km bridge U/C in Bihar State (eastern India).

Munger Bridge (Bihar State) linking NH80 and NH31

Another bridge U/C in Bihar State: Munger Bridge.

Munger Bridge will link national highways NH80 and NH31 across the River Ganges.

IU provides us the pics and info:

Munger Bridge - a roughly 4.2 km long rail+road bridge over the Ganga in Bihar. It'll help to link NH80 with NH31. This is u/c by Arvind Techno for the Rail Vikas Nigam.
