Makád is the most southern settlement on the Csepel Island. By car it is accessible from the M0-ring by turning off at either Csepel or Szigetszentmiklós: it is situated at a distance of 35 km from the latter. If you want to go on long-distance road 6, then you should take the ferry at Adony, if on road No. 51, then you are to cross the Danube by the Ráckeve Bridge. From the capital you can go by the suburban train (HÉV) to Ráckeve, and from there by a scheduled bus line to Makád.
