I guess it needs a few more floors to become 150m tall...i think it doesnt look as tall as it probably is because it is so friggin wide. The building is infact having 33 levels, 2 basement, ground and 30 floors. 30 the floor would be having an observation deck where telescopes (intended for tourists) would be placed. Other half would be a restuarant area.
Brigade group's Corporate office would shift to the top floors of Northstar once it is ready by early 2009.
I wasnt talking about the current construction...i just meant it needs a few more floors(about 37 to 40) to become a skyscraper.^^Northstar would not be 150m tall. It would be 128m.
This was the max height permissible, as I am told. Otherwise would have gone further tall.
Also, with the airport moving away from the city and a metro coming up, do you think they are gonna relax the rules anytime soon?
Or is there still insufficient infrastructure in terms of water, power, fire deparments, etc in the CBD?
Certainly...lemme know when the cladding is half way through^^OH Good, so you may also pitch in some photos from outside![]()
^^Fantastic, govt should think of developing new CBDs ( with heights in excess of 35 floors) within .5km diameter of metro stations.^^The station would be 'Soap Factory' just before the 'Yeswanthapur' station. This station would be opposite, on the other side of the Road.
NorthStar is tall and pretty but Shantiniketan has three times the area...so i cant wait for that either...they are both iconic by Bangalore standards.Guys, thanks a lot for these images. I have following the gateway / northstar project with intense interest the last few months since I think it will be far better than of other big project currently in execution.
