Malmö on April 27th!

Hey guyzzz!

So, as I said before, I also went to Malmö on my trip to Copenhagen. I really liked the city and, honestly, I didn't think it was that nice. It's probably the only European city in which, IMO, the modern part outstands the old center. Not that the old town is ugly, but the area around Turning Torso is amazing!

Well, fine, now some pics for you:

Is that a boat house?

I think Malmö is a pretty neat town, the old houses are nice too!
Great pics again Schmidt.

Of course I don't know your expectations for Malmø but I find both the old and the new part quite interesting.
I enjoyed your pictures of Malmo. Thank you.
Great pics mate!

Well I really didn't expect so much of it and it was somehow good. Also I hadn't seen many pics from the city so it was for me pretty much a discovery heheh. I wanted to go there especially for the Turning Torso, of course, but I also knew there was some old architecture, I just didn't know how it looked like.
Great pics! Quality through and through. I'm glad you liked the city!

Västra Hamnen and Bo01 in particular is said to be one of the most successful redevelopment areas in Europe, so I'm not surprised that you liked it. :)
I think both the older parts and the modern parts of the city has their own charm.

Which day did you visit? It looks rather empty in your pics.
^^ Sunday afternoon! :D
^^
Ah, then I understand. The Malmönese tend to stay away from the inner city on Sundays, unfortunately. The areas you depicted are packed with people every single day apart from Sundays. :)
I agree that the city center can be a bit boring sometimes while the modern part (Västra Hamnen) has a more vibrant and cosmopolitan feeling. However there is a part of the city center that is really nice, called "Gamla Väster" (old west) with mainly small charming old buildings that has been renovated and hosts advertizing agencies and architecte bureaus. It is very small and pretty calm since there are almost no stores.
