Richard Sexton.

Manchester has stolen a march on other cities. I think the city has done a great job in promoting itself.
Andrew Gardiner.

I get the impression the council's thinking is more joined up than elsewhere
Tony Bray.

Manchester scores very highly, meaning that the city sits at least on a par with the best near shore alternatives.
Rehan Zeman.

If Manchester can provide these necessities, and maintain its marketing drives in the US and at home, agents will be confident of attracting further big name office tenants to the city.
Colin Sinclair, CE Midas.

There were some really good leads that came directly out of the New York event and similar work in London, and we will be making announcements on that within the next two or three months, he reveals.
Mike Ingall, Allied London.

It's likely we will be going back to New York in the late spring or early summer.

I think in the next two or three years we will attract another big financial services occupier. I think that's most likely to be a European bank.

whats up with you now?
Mike Ingall sat three feet from me one day and told me that this scheme was ridiculous, and talked my client into chopping it down by 2/3rds.... and then promptly delivered Spinningfields not long after.

There's more to come Mr Longford. I'd log off now if I was you. :)
Just a pet hate of mine- you may continue at your leisure jerbers - its all interesting stuff - rant over!
btw - where do you get your EG from - cant find it anywhere.
I know exactly where longy's coming from. The lazy 'rainy city' tosspot hacks dahn Landan trying to be cute with the by-line.

We may as well learn to expect it and indeed make some mileage out of it, everytime it's brought up, someone will 'correct' them as to the real facts on Manchester's precipitation.

the 'rainy' epithet has done absolutely no harm to the well sought after cities of Vancouver, Seattle and Portland.

Which incidently render Manchester's climate to almost 'desert status'. :)

Well exactly, it's like some hack thinking up some "Windy" line about Chicago, means nothing really and has never done it any harm.

It can rain 24/7 as long as the major financial institutions decide to invest and base their offices in the Rainy City. :)
I'll second that
