The pictures were taken on April 3, 2009 by specialist aerial photographer Michael Abicare at various heights up to 3000m above the ground with a top-of-the-range Nikon D3X camera.

Manudrah the boomcity suburb of Perth. Has reached 80k already and its growing fast with multi canal estates which is banned in NSW...
Why are canals banned in NSW?

I could swear Ive seen some in NSW flying over from Brisbane to Sydney.
Where would the Mandurah train station be in all that? Second pic down, north of the shopping center?
pretty crappy pics. needs to get a really zoomed out one.
They aint banned in NSW what about Sylvania Waters in Sutherland, and Port Macquarie, etc i've seen canals in all of them

Do you seriously think that they would decide to ban canal developments, then order demolition of ones already built? :eek:hno:

No, they just banned building new such developments, based on existing experience with them.
Can confirm that canal estates are banned in NSW on environmental grounds.

There have been various proposals since the ban came in by developers who think they can ignore legislation
you answered ur own question lijjy

I don't agree that they're crappy but yes, some pics from higher up showing all of Mandurah would have been great.
These pictures are not crappy at all. Its best to see what it looked like in own shape of estates and that. Great shaping by the urban designers/construction workers!
