Picar Development starts construction of first Movenpick Hotel at Picar Place Makati

Rising 70-storeys high, Movenpick Hotel and Stratford Residences Tower 3 will comprise of hotel and residences and is up for completion in 2016. The 604-room premium establishment, designed by its principal Architect Jose Pedro C. Recio, founder of Rchitect, Inc. will feature 324 hotel rooms and 280 residential apartments—all generously-sized with European designs and refined furnishings. Aside from The Stratford Residences, Picar Place is also the home of Buddha Bar Manila, the most luxurious bar and restaurant in the country, and the biggest Buddha Bar restaurant in the world. The Movenpick Hotel and Resorts, and another magnificent tower of The Stratford Residences will also rise in this site. Picar Place is envisioned to be the living and a hospitality hub of the Makati district — featuring pioneering global hospitality, housing and entertainment concepts.

ALTHOUGH the tallest building in the country, Gramercy Residences, was topped out only last year, Picar Development Inc. has already broken ground for the next tallest skyscraper in the Philippines – the 312-meter Movenpick Hotel and Stratford Residences on Kalayaan Ave. in Makati City.

The building, which is scheduled to be completed in 2016, will actually be the third tower of Stratford Residences (302 meters high) and is planned to have 70 storeys with views of Gramercy Residences and the Makati City Hall.

The building will host the 324-room Movenpick Hotel and Stratford Residences with its 280 residential apartments. It was principally designed by architect Jose Pedro C. Recio, founder of Rchitect Inc.
