I am sorry, I messed up a little bit.
Norman Foster is currently working on a project on the Old Port of Marseille. I'll post some picture in the coming days.

Franck Ghery's project is located in Arles (North West of Marseille). The city of Arles and this project are part of Marseille Provence 2013 European capital of Culture. Ghery's project in Arles is sponsored by a private foundation called LUMA.

The Musée Borély is currently being renovated and extended. It will be Marseille's new decorative arts and Fashion museum. Biggest collections in France outside Paris.
The museum will be located inside the Chateau Borély which is a 18th century castle. The chateau Borély is part of the Borely park which is a popular tourist attraction in Marseille and is classified as one of the Notable Gardens of France by the French Ministry of Culture. The Borély Park is Marseille's biggest park.

Part of the renovation upgrades are sponsored by the TOTAL foundation.

Renovation of l'Opéra de Marseille

L’Opéra de Marseille, known today as the Opéra Municipal, is an opera company located in Marseille, France. In 1685, the city was the second in France after Bordeaux to have an opera house which was erected on a tennis court.
Some years following the installation of electricity, in November 1919 a fire destroyed the eighteenth century theatre, leaving only its shell and an exterior stone colonnade.

The present day opera house, the Opéra Municipal de Marseille, dates from its opening on 4 December 1924. It seats 1,800. It features a classic urn-shaped auditorium, three rings of boxes, two balconies and a gallery. A large sculpted frieze by sculptor Antoine Bourdelle frames the stage.

Designed by the three architects Ebrard, Castel, and Raymond, the theatre preserved the stone colonnade and, located the surviving original box office in the centre of the entrance hall, up from which led two staircases to the elegant main foyer. Beauvert describes it as "an Art Deco temple", the "soul mate" of the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris.
It is nowadays the second biggest Art Deco Opera house in the world at the Opera of Mexico City.

Marseille is genau die gegen- sogenannte "Capitale européenne de la culture" : was für einen Zusammenhang gibt es zwischen Marseille und Deutschland, Schweden, Dänemark, Irland, Grossbritanien ? Keinen !
