On this Christmas Eve, a very Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it. Peace, and good health to everyone!

I downloaded some old Christmas cards and post cards that I have in a little collection that spans Christmases from over a century ago, through the 1920's, and up to 1959. I've reposted them here from another thread.

And.... a photo of Taller, Better (Shorter, Better? Mini Better?) sitting beside Santa Claus in 1959 and being terrified witless by the experience. I'm the one with the red sweater and the look of terror in my eyes as I politely struggle to lean as far away from Old Saint Nick as is possible  All I was focusing on was not letting go of the little paper bag of Eaton's candies that were the ultimate payoff for the harrowing experience. It is, by the way, the only TB photo I have ever posted... hehe...:

Hehe! I was painfully shy in public as a little boy, and I can remember dreading going to Eaton's in the morning, and absolutely hating it all! As soon as I could surgically remove myself (politely, of course.... I didn't want to be rude), I suddenly realized I had the treasured candies to mow through!! All was suddenly well again..... Also we got to wander through Eaton's Toyland, which was like being in heaven.
I don't do anything Christmassy until Christmas Eve... so have been listening to the Choir of King's College Cambridge, and now have begun watching all my favourite old Christmas movies!! First off, Christmas in Connecticut:

^^ I've never seen Barbara Stanwyck as a young woman before. How odd.

Merry Christmas, TB!

You were so adorable in that pic :)
And he hasn't changed a bit. Merry Christmas everyone. :)

 Even though you are the only one in the group to actually know, it was very sweet of you to greatly exaggerate!
The only thing not to change are the ears and the eyes. When I was young, my ears seemed huge, but they stopped growing
somewhere along the line and now they are normal, if not a little small! :D
