basta may walkalator okay lang. pero in a sense of the word 'intermodal' dapat all in one roof. saka mas magastos pag hiwahiwalay.

Heck no. This is way way way better.

Instead of walking almost a kilometer, there will be seamless transfer to other lines.

The photo is not showing 1100.

But for me, the original location of the common station (SM North) is a lot better than what Roxas, Abaya and their goons at DOTC is pushing. I don't buy their reason na it would be cheaper and benefit all commuters due to the Intermodal Transportation Station North being located at Vertis North. Hmmm I smell cronyism at work here again...

MRT 7 can build a Mindanao Avenue station located at the intersection of Mindanao and North Avenue di ba? Haay DOTC di ginagamit ang common sense.

PS:
Dapat nakalagay doon ang reason why we really want the original location than Trinoma. We can also put the photos of the plans for the netizens to know why the original location is a lot better.

Sablay yung photo.

While I agree that walking is beneficial to our health, still, we want the station to accommodate the MRT-3, LRT-1, and MRT-7 all in one roof.

If we build two separate stations for the linkage of LRT-1 and MRT-3, and a separate one for MRT-7 via a long footbridge, it's not a common station anymore. It's just your regular, overcrowded metro stations with proudly Pinoy made footbridges and stairs used just to transfer from one line to another...:bash:

Problema diyan ay majority ng publiko just sees this as an Ayala vs Sy mall wars.

DOTC says MOA with SM on common station has expired

By Lawrence Agcaoili (The Philippine Star) | Updated June 10, 2014 - 12:00am

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) said yesterday the agreement with the SM Prime Holdings on the location of the proposed P1.4 billion Metro Rail Transit and Light Rail Transit (MRT-LRT) common station expired more than three years ago.

Michael Arthur Sagcal, DOTC spokesperson, said the memorandum of agreement signed by SM Prime Holdings Inc. and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) that was approved by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) in July 2009 already lapsed in 2011.

First of all, the NEDA approval that SMPHI is referring to expired in 2011. The 2013 NEDA approval, which is in effect, allows the Common Station to be built in the more advantageous location at MRT3,” Sagcal said.

A crucial feature in transportation development is intermodality. Commuters should not have to walk long distances to transfer from one mode of transport to another. Our policy is to promote traveling convenience and efficiency for commuters, which is why we have chosen the end of the MRT-3 line as Common Station’s location,” Sagcal explained.

Baka naman "maikli" ang footbridge, so it still counts as an intermodal transport station, or they're really stupid...

Akyat-baba, kaliwa-kanan. Kahit pa sabihin na good for the health ang paglalakad.

Court asks SM for proof to halt transfer of MRT-LRT terminal

By Jacque Manabat, ABS-CBN News | Posted at 06/10/2014 12:43 PM | Updated as of 06/10/2014 12:43 PM

MANILA, Philippines – The Pasay Regional Trial Court on Tuesday heard the petition for injunction filed by SM Prime against the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), as the mall giant seeks to stop the government agencies from constructing the MRT-LRT common train station at Ayala Land’s Trinoma mall.

Last week, SM Prime sued the DOTC and the LRTA for alleged breach of contract on the location of the common train station. SM Prime argued it has a NEDA-ICC approval back in 2009 to build the common train station at SM North EDSA mall.

However, DOTC said that approval expired and government will generate savings of P1 billion if the station is built near Trinoma.
