Roberts - bravo to you fella, very well taken and informative piccies! This first one has Wilbraham Road Bridge in the background:

Yes I'm aware of that, but I think that those out in the City for entertainment would find it odd that they can't get a tram between midnight and 3:00 am. In my job I often drive people home from the city at night, and most of my pick-ups are between 12 and 2,
Perhaps, if it's popular, the service could be brought forward to run at a reduced frequency all night on Friday and Saturday nights?

I imagine the line through Didsbury would also be quite a popular 24h service

If I recall there was a safety concern of running through the city at night as well as risks of antisocial behaviour. It was mentioned a few years back and the answer was no.
'Metrolink Unofficial' (Facebook) attributes the above quote to the Metrolink Home Page (but I can't find a new map?)

# btw Do we know if there will be any daytime testing before the 26th?

# sentinel, it's aimed at Airport workers staring an early shift, but as VDB mentions, it will also chime in with modern-day drinking/clubbing hours! :cheers2:

 Johnny
I think that the background image to that Facebook post is out of date and perhaps relates to an earlier change. It seems to be part of the beta site under test. The new map can be accessed via the transformation site here http://transformationinformation.co.uk/media/14866/16-0354-Metrolink-web-map.pdf but there is nothing earth shattering about the map you will find there.

I hope that the shade of Harry Beck haunts them until they come to their senses.....

It is very detailed but the speed boards are always wrong
I've taken some photos of the TPL today from Pomona down Village Way. I did the same last week and forgot to post them. I'll try and post them tomorrow but if they aren't up on Friday, nag me :p

Nice earrings, not sure about the beard, and we missed Albert Square! And yes, could play all day on that but soon it will be the real thing . . .

Ok. So here's my first update of the TPL. I haven't done an update like this in a while so here we go.... These pics are from Wed.

Most of the work so far has been clearing of vegetation. Here we start at Pomona.

Nothing happening yet on the bank of the canal past Sam Platts. Though I can't quite remember where the line will turn onto it.

Some of the car parks of the industrial units just past Sam Platts have holes with concrete slabs in.

This one had a little weatherproof box with a cable running into it. Possibly gathering data about the ground along the canal bank?

Tree clearing either side of the road further down.

I think this is utilities works just before Peel headquarters. There are a few large pumps around the sites and what looks like temporary mains water distribution.

Tree clearing within the grounds of the office block opposite Peel headquarters.

Fencing up on Warren Bruce road. More on this later....

Trees cleared over the past few weeks further down.

Fencing up at Village Circle.

Vegitation has been cleared on the circle

The remains of utilities works a few weeks back at the start of Village Way.

Vegetation cleared on the private land outside CHEP UK.

That's the last signs of work on the length I walked (I go climbing at The Depot so I often walk the route). Though I know vegetation has been cleared at Parkway Circle and the central reservation of the slip road from Village Way. There's a huge art piece in the middle of Parkway Circle. I never even knew it existed! The route alongside Park Way has been cleared for some time with what I assume is the alignment marked with pegs.

Finally, myself and my better half were driving back along Warren Bruce road later on that night. They were clearing the vegetation where the fences had been earlier.

Have they managed to avoid upsetting any more rabbit lovers? I can see they are working at night now!

Works creating noise near ITV can only be done overnight as per the planning consent. I'd imagine this includes tree clearing.

No idea but there's bloody tonnes of them in Trafford Park. You'd think they bread like rabbits :bash:
Took the kids to the Circus at Event City on Wednesday. I noticed that they have started clearing the vegetation on Peel Circle. They're not hanging about!
