NEWS: New Mazatlan baseball stadium project


Yep, once again, the Mazatlan as part of the Liga del Pacifico baseball league doesn't want stay behind cities like Hermosillo, Culiacan, Mexicali, and Ciudad Obregon. Like the cities already mentioned, this one too seeks to build a brand new stadium. This isn't both the club's and city's first time they intend to build a new stadium, both had already presented various projects over the last few years, but neither seemed to succeed. This time, today new articles in multiple sources have revealed the club's intentions once again!
The new stadium contemplates a capacity of more than 16,000 people. With an investment of nearly 400 million pesos, the stadium is rumored to open in 2017.

UPDATE: Seating Installation began inside the Rayados stadium.


Pictures published this week show work carried out in the top terraces of the stadium in Monterrey. Already a complete section of seating has been installed. Over the past week, updates had come up off the fixtures for the seating being installed, but no seats had been added til this week. Other work around the stadium currently underway is the installation of the roof facade, installation of the nearly done lower stands, earth being prepared outside the stadium for landscaping, and preparations inside the field.

NEWS: Yesterday Club Toluca annouced improvements to their stadium.

Yesterday during a press conference, along with their plans for this week's first game in Liga MX, the clubs announced its plans to improve their current stadium. Although no major details were presented, this eliminates the possibility of having a new stadium as rumored. The team is seeking to renovate their home in as part of their 100th year celebration in 2017. Improvements may involved adding around 5,000 new seats, a new roof structure, lighting improvements, and other smaller non-structural work.

NEWS: A Look at Mexico City's Diablos Rojos baseball team temporary home



During last year's announcement for a 2016 return of F1 to Mexico, the city's baseball team which plays within the raceway planned for F1, was forced to makes plans for a new home. The team had been playing inside Foro Sol at the Hermanos Rodriguez Raceway since 2000, the stadium although not very old, was often found unsuitable to play on due to its multiple use for various kinds of events. Two months ago, the new plans for a new baseball stadium within the same sports complex were announced. The new baseball stadium promised a state-of-the-arrt facility designed by one the world's most important firm: JANH. This new facility would be ready by the year 2017, in the meantime, Diablos would need a new home. The answer was found in a near by smaller stium which was mostly abandoned and in poor conditions. This 2015, the Estadio Fray Nano will be renovated to host the team. Renovations include a complete makeover which will provide a nice home for both the team and its expected 5,200 attendees. With a glamorous new design and a coming brief professional live, the stadium will be donated back to the public once work concludes on the new Diablos Stadium. Expected budged for the project is of about 3 million dollars.

NEWS: Estadio Cuauhtemoc's official project Renders

Like shown posts above, the stadium is undergoing a huge makeover in effort to modernize the aging Puebla FC stadium. The government initiative to give a new face to the iconic stadium is expected to cost over 50 million dollars. In pictures already shows in this thread, we've seen evidence of work for the new structures. Below are renders published by the government during the bidding process.

UPDATE: Cancun's new arena at 50%

Four months after its start, the polemical venue has reports a progress of 50%. The arena, named "Auditorio del bienestar" (Wellness auditorium) is a nearly identical copy of the Auditorio de la Gente in Tepic, Nayarit. The building is expected to house musical, sports, and social events by the end of 2015. With a capacity of more than 12,000 people, its expected cost is 17 million dollars.

Would there be any chance that a Mexican team would play in the ML like Canadian some teams?

Uhh why?? Have you watched Liga MX?? The league plays a better brand of soccer than MLS and plus the league is doing fine on its own.. Dont need MLS AT ALL!... Besides the MLS is turning into the "World Soccer Legends Retirement Home"
