The final piece of steel for the retractable roof is installed Friday with a topping-off ceremony. The media will be there, so there should be a lot more photos coming soon.

What will happen when the Marlins continue to have dismal attendance?
According to who? The attendence will not be the marlins problem next year.
18500 people in 37000 seat stadium is half full but even 25000 in 70000+ stadium looks absolutely empty. Just keeping the current level with addition of premium seating, concessions and parking the stadium and team is a success.

If the Marilins draw 18,500 a game next year, in a new ballpark, forget it, the franchise is toast. Contraction talk will intensify. As it should.

Well then how about a friendly wager..... I am willing to bet they average over 18500. You willing to take that bet?

If we want to eliminate some poor teams attendance wise, well Oakland can go. Or how about Pittsburgh? Both have been in the bottom 5 teams for the last five years. Tampa and Kansas City are also bottom dwellers on a regular basis.
