53-story tower in Edgewater among four big projects proposed in Miami

"Miami officials will consider four major projects: a 53-story mixed-use tower in Edgewater, an apartment/office project just south of the airport, and two apartment buildings by the Melo Group.

All four projects will go before the city’s Urban Design Review Board on Nov. 29.

V Downtown Inc., managed by Barry J. Silverman and Judy Silverman in Aventura, wants to build a 53-story tower totaling 1.22 million square feet at 1775 Biscayne Blvd. The vacant 47,476-square-foot site is across the street from a Publix Super Market and just west of Opera Tower.

Designed by Kobi Karp, the tower would have 444 residential units, 200 hotel rooms, 45,600 square feet of commercial space, 64,500 square feet of office space, and 546 parking spaces.

The commercial space would be on the lower levels, and the office space would be on floors two through seven. The hotel would be on floors 10 through 17, with residential units on the upper floors of the tower. There would be separate amenity decks for residents and hotel guests/office tenants on the ninth and 10th floors, plus a rooftop amenity deck.

Attorney Vicky Leiva, who represents V Downtown, couldn’t be reached for comment."

Looks snazzy and dig the mixed use. (Crossing my fingers for a rooftop restaurant.)
About time those lots along Biscayne got developed by something significant. Fingers crossed

They have owned the site forever, probably just trying to sell the lot. Hopefully a developer snatches it up. From what I can see the owners that are submitting the plans are doctors, not developers.
