A competition by invitation launched in 2021 asked five design teams (Vittorio Grassi Architects and ARUP Italia; Andrea Maffei Architects; MAB Arquitectura; Il Prisma; Beretta Associati) to submit regeneration projects for a built urban area of 12,000 sqm (+129,000 sqft) that should include around 20,000 sqm (+215,000 sqft) of new residential build. The project -mainly residential with large diversified commercial facilities on the ground floor- is located in via Gioacchino Murat, with easy access to routes into the city and served by public transport.
