Bramah Place | Platting Village

Apologies is this is the wrong place, or if I have stupidly already created a thread though I can't find it, but things are sorta happening. Please move the thread if it is in the wrong place or a duplicate. Original pic from February first.

Yeah-I thought it would be Lovell.Actually some trees have gone from within the site.Good to see new planting by the canal.
The pictures you`ve posted are for the next phase of 60 homes at Butler St and Rodney St which went to planning in March, I think.

'Faraday Green' is at the junction of Ridgway St and Varley St, next to the completed first phase.

Ah okay, so are these still part of the Faraday Green project or do they have a different name?
Okay, these are actually Bramah Place, but still by Lovell. Can someone with superpowers change the thread title for me.

Some will be finished this year, some next year.

Oh, and the first post could go altogether.
Yep, I think you`re right and this is Bramah Place. Something like 60 houses which may or may not all be for private sale. I think the app went in about early March.

Another app by Lovell has gone in recently for something like 30 apartments in Miles Platting but I can`t remember where.
Could someone please rename this thread so we can use it to apply to all aspects of the regeneration of Miles Platting?

There`s about 1000 new homes to be built and some 1500 council homes to be refurbished, all by Lovell.

The programme will run for years.

Does anybody know how far the refurbishment programme has got so far?
This is about as far as this part has got. Definitely Lovell, but I called them so I already knew that.

All the new build in Miles Platting is Lovell.

The first phase is all sold out and the second phase (Faraday Green) is on site at the moment.

This must be Bramah Place, the third phase, but I don`t know if its had planning approval yet.
These starter type/smaller family homes will be the staple diet of the Lovell developments in Miles Platting.

I had a look at some documents a few years ago which highlighted all the available sites in Miles Platting and I couldn`t see where they`d build more expensive properties.

That said, it will give a lot of people a chance to get on the housing ladder and will give the area a massive lift. It could encourage more RTBs too.
Was wandering around yesterday and saw a portacabin, digger and a second gate that weren't there before. At least I don't think the second gate was.

^^ Seeing the high rise blocks next to the site, it reminds me of a news report some years ago about a man who lived in a high rise in Wolverhampton.

He use to look out his window at the houses down below to see when people were going out and then he`d pop down and burgle them.

It`s always stuck with me even though it must be twenty to thirty years since I heard this.
Digging started yesterday but it was raining most the day so didn't get pics then. Got some today though -

Thanks for the pictures, am really intrigued about Bramah Place.

I've bought a house at Faraday Green and due to move shortly, so it's great that the area is getting regenerated.
Hopefully this area will be looking great.New housing and increased population -all in a parkland type setting with the greenery along the canal.Collyhurst also.
Timber frame? That's quite interesting, as far as I know Faraday Green isn't timber framed...
