The 2012 MLB All Star game was in Kansas City, Missouri and as part of the festivities there is a "Red Carpet Show" on game day. It consists of the players and their families riding around in convertibles and the beds of pikcup trucks. Thrilling, I know.

Here are some photos of the parade and it's setting: The Country Club Plaza in KCMO.

For those that don't know, the Plaza is about four miles south of Downtown KC. It was built in 1922 and modeled after Seville, Spain.

Great colors. Not sure why people still refer to it as the "Country Club" Plaza or why it Highwoods clings to that silly name. It's not like it's 1920 anymore.

As the crow flies, the Plaza is really only about a 1.5 - 2 miles from "Downtown" as DTs southern edge is 31st St and the Plaza's northern edge is @ 45th St. From Crown Center/Union Station it's only a 5-6 minute drive.
