Those aluminium cladding on the erl station looks like titanium clad from the pic.
..awesome

Universiti technologi Petronas looks nice form top:eek:kay:
^^ yes, UTP is very nice indeed. the main library blew me away - simply a showcase of Petronas financial muscle. Not cheap to get Sir Norman Foster to design u know.....
Universiti Teknologi Petronas is definitely awesome!! i love the library a lot
Its amazing just to see how many unique roofs Malaysia have
It sure is nice to see Malaysia to have such a nice univeristy like the UTP.
But I just don;'t see where the logic / common sense is to use such a large sum of money to have all these so called 1st class / developed country infrastructures when the money can be spent to further develop the country's education system.
ITs nice to hear that we can afford to get "Sir Norman Foster" to design such a spectacular roof for us.....but is that going to make the people who are studyin under those spectacular roofs brighter and smarter?
Then again if we recalll what the PM said....he wants a country with first class mentality.....is this the way of achieving it?
I sure wish him the best of luck if the government continues to carry on such things.......

UTP is a PRIVATE UNIVERSITY by Petronas. Although Petronas is a state-owned enterprise, it CANNOT directly subsidies our education system. Since Petronas is so rich, I could see no harm in building a nice university for itself.

And that goes with the twin towers to those whom are clueless why Petronas had been spending so much :D

If you wanna complain about our education system, please direct it to the education ministry and its policies. And of course do a bit of homework first ;)
Hahahahah......UTP is a PRIVATE UNIVERSITY by Petronas?
I wonder how 'private' it can be.....
As for the twin towers....isnt there more foreign companies in there compared to local ones? Seems to me like the building is funded buy foreign $$$ than by petronas itself.....
those foreign companies in the twins towers are just tenants.. and what make u think the twin tower funded by them?.. by paying rent?

btw... here's another modern roof.. a 'prototype' & study by dr ken yeang..
the house called 'roof roof'..

You seems to be ignorant about the facts of Petronas Towers tenancy. However I could enlightened you a bit here.

Tower One is completely occupied by Petronas. Actually they also took up a bit of Tower Two. In fact they could filled up to half of Tower Two but companies like Petronas Dagangan chooses to remain at its previous HQ at Dayabumi. Why?

Firstly.....the towers are not meant to be profitable as Petronas had much surplus of cash. Tower Two after its completion are meant to be rented out as many high-profile companies needed a 'prestigious address'. So since Petronas had owned some buildings around KL........some companies remained at their old premises ;)

Currently Tower Two is about 70% occupied. They are also extremely choosy over its tenants. So to say that foreign companies funded the twin towers is totally ridiculous. Common sense would tell you that even if 50% of foreign companies tenancy of ONE tower over 8 years would be able to cover the cost of the towers :D

UTP is a private university for real..im studying here now and i spend about 7000+k per semester for the fees..but here got so many sponsored students either from petronas itself.JPA or MARA..about 20% students here are foreigner.
and of coz, u must have a very good achievement in ur spm or A-level to be in UTP..its not that im so proud of utp but thats the truth..
