Those aluminium cladding on the erl station looks like titanium clad from the pic.
Aiyah...at least in Malaysia we improve our aesthetics feel and that shows us we love beautiful things eh?savisrich said:It sure is nice to see Malaysia to have such a nice univeristy like the UTP.
But I just don;'t see where the logic / common sense is to use such a large sum of money to have all these so called 1st class / developed country infrastructures when the money can be spent to further develop the country's education system.
ITs nice to hear that we can afford to get "Sir Norman Foster" to design such a spectacular roof for us.....but is that going to make the people who are studyin under those spectacular roofs brighter and smarter?
Then again if we recalll what the PM said....he wants a country with first class mentality.....is this the way of achieving it?
I sure wish him the best of luck if the government continues to carry on such things.......

I wonder how 'private' it can be.....
As for the twin towers....isnt there more foreign companies in there compared to local ones? Seems to me like the building is funded buy foreign $$$ than by petronas itself.....

UTP is a private university for real..im studying here now and i spend about 7000+k per semester for the fees..but here got so many sponsored students either from petronas itself.JPA or MARA..about 20% students here are foreigner.Hahahahah......UTP is a PRIVATE UNIVERSITY by Petronas?

RIGHT ON brother Sze!!!UTP is a PRIVATE UNIVERSITY by Petronas. Although Petronas is a state-owned enterprise, it CANNOT directly subsidies our education system. Since Petronas is so rich, I could see no harm in building a nice university for itself.
And that goes with the twin towers to those whom are clueless why Petronas had been spending so much
If you wanna complain about our education system, please direct it to the education ministry and its policies. And of course do a bit of homework first![]()
laugh at yourself man, you're not making much sense..who cares if they're foreign companies investing in malaysia and paying rent?!! and NO they did'nt 'fund' the buildings construction. U seem to be out for blood and u found Petronas to bite on, bravo.Hahahahah......UTP is a PRIVATE UNIVERSITY by Petronas?
