Moscow town-building and the land commission approved the construction of a hotel and business complex on the 170 Warsaw highway on December, 13. Previously, co-owner of "Bean Group" Sait Gutseriev said that it plans to build on a plot of 22 hectares on the right of the Warsaw highway in Moscow, a theme park, which will manage the Universal Studios. A spokesman Michael Silver confirmed that the company has reached a preliminary agreement with the structures of Gutseriev. And last week, Gutseriev said that the company plans to begin construction of the park in the near future.
Investment in the project is estimated at $ 3 billion, total area - 1.2 million square meters. The Universal Studios park will take 150,000 square meters. The project also includes three-and four-star hotels (120,000 sq. m.), an office complex (160,000 sq. m.), as well as retail space, a winter garden, a water park, a conference room, a music theater, etc. In addition, the investor is obliged to organize in the area intercepts parking for at least 10,000 cars.
If the project is finally implemented, it will be the 5-th Universal Studios theme park in the world and first in Europe. While these parks are only in Japan, Singapore and the United States (two - in Hollywood and Orlando).
Alexei Bogdanov, S.A. Ricci partner, said that the site is well suited for such a project - there is direct access to the airport "Domodedovo". Bogdanov recalls that already are working to expand the Warsaw highway.
Many companies claim to build a large theme parks in Russia, but none of these projects did not take place.
