Murano Tower 1 Soldout, Taller, South Tower Released

The taller building is 41 floors and 459 ft. Another tall one for Bay Street. Bay street is quickly becoming both a street for business (lower Bay street from queen and down) and a highrise residential district (with the new ROCP, Murano, Bay Club, etc. But this must suck for the people who bought the north tower already, their view of downtown would be blocked by the taller south tower, which its view will also be blocked by the even taller ROCP.

this one is going to sell quick!
^I hope so. Construction is stated for late 2005, finishes 2007.
Wow, the building boom in Toronto continues.
Murano is one of my favies ;) Build'er quick please!
Wow, the curtain glass wall is hot... This will be one of my favs.
Btw, what intersection exactly is this situated?
Murano will sit on Bay, one block north of College on the east side, on the old GM dealer parking lot (Thank god thats finally going)
yeah that addison bay dealership has been there since i was born i think??? (1981) My pop still remembers it from years ago, and thinks it has no place in that area designated for highrise. I think I agree. Goodbye!
I have a question. does anyone know those two condos directly across the street from rocp? They are almost identical, and border on a parking lot on the north side of them. I was wondering if anyone knew how tall they were, so I can get a perspective on how tall Rocp and murano are gonna be?

Thanks mucho.

Those are 31 storey residential.

ROCP North will be about 90% taller, and ROCP South will be about 50% taller.

here's a clearer pic of murano

it's nice to see all these buildings coming to an area that hasn't seen much growth or change in years.

there is also the met at yonge/carlton, 43s

nearly completed bay club

and of course the two rocp towers. the taller of which is 51/52s?

and down the street, ryerson's new business school (which is already at grade - walked by today and was surprised how fast it's going up)

At the risk of being repetitive, CP1 will indeed dwarf those seemingly tall west-side condos.... 300+ vs. 500+... noticable.
Murano is definitely on my radar.

i'm also excited about Ryerson's business school. By the way, since when did a huge Salad King appear right across from it?? It is much larger than the one on gould street, and just as packed
Murano is terrific...glad to see the condos get snapped up so quickly...I'm guessing they will contruct both at the same time.

One thing bugs me about this project...and it aint the buildings...it's the political footsie how the site got sold. Addison on Bay leased the land from the Ont gov't for years. And then the gov't sold the land to them for practically nothing and didn't even consider market bids for the land, which is obviously HOT. They simply thought Addison on Bay deserved a deal cause they had been such a good tennant all those years.

That REALLY pisses me off...Queen's Park complains about deficits, and screws Toronto over royally...and then gives away millions in real estate...what a pack of A-holes.

Maybe they are planning to move there from the one they are at now, it is to small anyway for the volume of people they serve
Didn't they just add a second floor at the Gould St one?
