Tanzanian cities are surprisingly developed. Why does the country always feature so low amongst developed countries? Is it because there is a huge rural undeveloped population? That can be the only reason...

Yeah thts one of the big reason... We should also focus on improving agriculture because most of people in rural areas depend on it.. So if we focus on it and improve it.. It will lift up a huge % of popn

I think 80% of our population lived in rural areas until just a few years ago, now it's probably closer to 60% which means that a majority of those are probably on what the world index would call undeveloped. But surprisingly most of these rural people aren't in poverty, we have plenty of food and water just struggle against diseases such as malaria, cholera, pneumonia, and etc..
