Hello
Back in September 2018 i took a 6 months around the world trip and i ended up visiting 60 cities in 20 countries. I will be posting photos here on a regular basis in chronological order to document all the places i have visited. Feel free to ask any questions.

Stop 1 - Santiago, Chile
I stayed in Santiago for a month since i was there primarily to study Spanish at a local language school. This was one year before all the troubles with the protests started so i feel lucky to have experienced the city while it was safe.

Stop 3 - Puerto Varas, Chile
Puerto Varas is a city in the Lakes Region of Chile that was founded by German immigrants in 1853 and this is reflected in the architecture of the city and also in a large part of the population who are descendants of the original settlers. To reach Puerto Varas you need to fly into the city of Puerto Montt and then take a 30 minutes shuttle van ride from the airport. I stayed here for 4 nights.

Stop 4 - Punta Arenas, Chile
I flew from Puerto Montt to Punta Arenas and stayed here for 3 nights. It is easy to see how wealthy this city was in the past just by looking at the elegant mansions scattered all around the city. An interesting fact about Punta Arenas is that 50% of the population who lives here have Croatian heritage.

Stop 5 - Puerto Natales + Chilean Patagonia
I took a bus from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales (2 hours and 45 minutes) a quaint little town at the edge of the Chilean Patagonia and a number of important national parks. This city is the main base for any trekkers who get ready to go on multi days expeditions.

Stop 6 - El Calafate + Argentinian Patagonia
I took a bus from Puerto Natales to El Calafate in Argentina and the ride took 5.5 hours. El Calafate is the main base for people wanting to explore the Argentinian side of Patagonia and all the various glaciers including the famous Perito Moreno

Stop 7 - Ushuaia, Argentina
I flew from El Calafate to Ushuaia (1 hour and 20 minutes flight). I absolutely loved this city and love the fact that it is cold all year around, could definitely see myself living there if i could.

Stop 8 - Montevideo, Uruguay
I was in Montevideo for 3 nights, don't really have an opinion about it other than it is quite expensive due to the fact that their sales tax is 22%

Stop 9 - Buenos Aires, Argentina
I stayed in Buenos Aires for a week and i really enjoyed my time here. Due to severe currency devaluation and high inflation you can get a huge delicious steak here for less than $15 and moving around with the subway is a breeze since a ticket for a one way trip costs 0.20 cents.

Stop 10 - New York City, USA
The direct flight from Buenos Aires to New York was primarily full of Jewish passengers flying to the USA for Hanukkah celebrations since Buenos Aires has the largest number of Jews in South America. It was my 3rd time in New York City and visiting it is always a pleasure and one could never possibly get sick of this city.

Stop 11 - Quebec City, Canada
This was the second time I visited Quebec City, it is a very photogenic city regardless of which season you visit. You can forget about English here since 98% of the population speaks French.
