cool the roads soo clean ,lucky you:)
Great pictures asif iqbal
Its the first time I see those green stuff surounding the Raouche rock
When we first arrived in beirut we drove from Damascus through the Bekav valley, it was most amazing experience even at height of summer mountains had snow on them and the tempreture was much cooler as we approached the summit then all of a sudden down below Beirut apprears with the deep blue mediterrianian sea in front

If you want to get the best view of whole of the city you must take the cable car ride to the top of the mountain Jounieh-Harisa area north of Beirut from the top you can see whole city

We walked into Sabre and Shatila camp and I took many pictures there I was going to post them here do you guys think its a good idea some are kind of grahpic??

^^ Well we have a thread for the renovation of those camps in the "Architecture, Infrastructure, and Urban Issues" section if you would like to post them there. If they are too graphic I can remove them.
OK thanks I do thinks its important to share them because the world needs to know what happened in the past and not get confused with all the hussle and bussle thats what happened to us
Nice Pics Asif,,Thanx for sharing :) i like all the pics :)

Wow thanks Asif (u really look like a model)

Asif how about the cost of travelling/ cost of living in Lebanon , say, compared to Thailand. Lebanon has a high per-capita GNP ( $ 6,500 last year ) which means the income level in US$ is higher than many emerging markets so does that mean the cost is something like twice of Thailand's ?

That cable car is sooo steep... I have a phobia of heights.. but the view from top is a.w.e.s.o.m.e. ( probably the world's best pano ever !)

Beirut resembles Nagasaki ( was there last year ) in many ways. Most of the Beirut residents live on the foothills ?

well if you want to compare Thailand and Lebanon theres a massive difference, I mean thailand is so so cheap when compared to Lebanon

in lebanon they use US dollars and things are pretty expensive, food, traveling and shopping is all quite expensive compared to especially thailand

I would say Lebanon is twice as expensive as Thailand food and travel wise

the cable car is a must do in beirut if you dont you dont know what your missing, its so amazing and on a clear day visability is kms!!!!

if you dont want to take the cable ride you can drive up another route but cable car is best way!!! :) :) :)
