GREENER CITY OF NAGA
Reflecting Mayor Son’s vision of green, mini-forests inside Naga's urban setting, the Forest in Our Midst (FOM) Program was launched this morning at the former Balatas Open Dumpsite area.

A tree-planting activity was also made which catapult the start of the city’s plan towards a greener Naga.

STAR MASTER PLAZA-CALABANGA, CAM SUR

Good for the local economy and the people of Calabanga.
I am just looking forward to a progressive political leader who will work to hasten the development of this municipality into the next city in the province. Centro Calabanga is traversed by the national road going to the coastal towns of Tinambac and Siruma and it is a mess during rush hours. I do not see much progress after the clearing operation if ever they have complied with the directive of Malacañan. I am not even aware if there is any plan for a diversion road which they should be working on now considering the experiences of other LGUs along national roads. Perhaps the LGU in coordination with the Office of Cong Gabby and the City Government of Naga should look into developing the road that connects Calabanga to upper Naga for a better alternative road for those going to and from Calabanga via Carolina at the foot of Mt. Isarog. :)

The LCP would like to congratulate Sipalay City Mayor Gina Lizares, Dagupan City Mayor Brian Lim, and Naga City, CAS Mayor Nelson Legacion for being selected as fellows of the Asia Pacific Mayors Academy for Sustainable Urban Development, Class of 2019-2020.

Out of the 48 first-time Philippine city mayors invited by the LCP to apply for the Academy, the three mayors were carefully chosen by the organizers to take part in the program.

The Academy is organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), in cooperation with the United Nations University; Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS); the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU); United Cities and Local Governments Asia-Pacific (UCLG ASPAC); and the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies.

According to Stefanos Fotiou, the selection of fellows was based on the alignment of the development priorities of mayors with the overall objectives of the Academy, and the expected benefit of the program to help prepare mayors to implement sustainable urban development in their communities.

The Academy will offer local chief executives the opportunity to enhance their capacities on issues related to urban sustainability such as financial planning and management, integrated planning, application of smart solutions, inclusive governance and stakeholder engagement, and urban resilience. Moreover, the program will assist mayors in localizing global agendas such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the New Urban Agenda.

WinWin Mall may be no match with Yashano Mall once it opens. Landscape works at Yashano using what seems to be very old/dying royal palm trees.

Ilaw Atpb opens biggest store in Bicol; announces up to 50% discount on opening

NAGA CITY (Bicol Standard)--Ilaw Atpb opened its fifth and biggest store in Bicol, after ten years of providing complete electrical and lighting solutions to the region.

"This is my tribute to my mother who was born and raised in Naga City," owner Edwin Pimentel said during the store opening at Maharlika Highway, Barangay Del Rosario, here.

"As part of our opening promo, customers may avail of discounts of up to 50% off, from October 7 to October 9," he added.

Pimentel explained that aside from being committed to carrying top quality products by LitesPlus, which they manufacture themselves, Ilaw Atbp also customizes products according to the needs of clients in big project markets such as hotels.

"We offer a diverse lineup of product for lighting, from the most luxurious properties to the simplest homes," he said.

Ilaw Atbp, according to Pimentel, is also the exclusive distributor of outdoor lamps from LiOA, a Vietnam-based company, which is one of the two most trusted global brands of outdoor lighting.

They also offer imported decorative lights with numerous designs.

"We invite Bicolanos to visit our newest store and take a look at our products," he concluded.
