Based on the public unveiling today in Nashville, the approved Signature Tower will stand an impressive 65 stories / 1,047 feet tall making it the tallest U.S. skyscraper outside of New York and Chicago. Wow!! :)

Additional visualizations:

Here's some more renderings of Signature Tower that have been released by the developer, Tony Giarratana.

Another skyscraper, but this time it's interesting to look at, and will no doubt be the centerpiece of DT Nashville. IMO, it looks like it has the potential to become one of the world's greatest scrapers, designwise.

Look at the pics. The spire is typical in ratio but is designed to be a part of the buiding, not just something to boost the height. Atlanta should design something that cool.

As far as 65 floors, Atlanta's BOA tower is 1,023' and only 55 floors. Add to that the fact that residential/hotel towers tend to have more height per floor and it is easily 1,000+ feet.
