Yup. Total crap.

I got up to the 3rd paragraph. I can actually refute that garbage line by line, but it's a total waste of time. Tama na yung 3 paragraphs nabasa ko.

Ika nga nila, the first step is always the most difficult one.

Yes. Don't get a National ID. Stay "out of the grid" like these commie terrorists do.

Actually, my concern with the National ID is the custodian of the database. There should be accountability and transparency. I am imagining a government similar to PNoy who might use the database for their own ends. I hope there is a mechanism that will guard the unauthorized use or access of the information. And the office responsible for its safeguard should be apolitical. Walang kinikilingan dapat. Kasi nakakatakot sa ngayon pa lang, there are people in govt agencies leaking info when they should be safeguarding the confidentiality of data. COMELEC voter information breach na lang. I remember when it was leaked, when i clicked the link, nandun lahat ng information ko. But the data was accurate.

That part on the confidentiality of the database is what i am keen on knowing.

^^ Interesting. What security is this Hedel Cruz talking about? He uses peysbook! X billions of people have already been compromised by Mark Zuckerman. If someone wants to break into the id database, I'm sure they'll find a way. Next objection...

Oo nga so goodluck na lang sa mga professional squatters or sa mga mahilig manghingi sa govt ng paulit ulit tapos rereklamo... the govt can easily see these abusive people

Takot na takot sa Big Brother / data breach yet flawlessly posts anything and everything in FB...

- bagong oto with giant susi = check
- bakashon selfie = check

Consortium submits offer to build national ID system
BY ANGELICA BALLESTEROS, TMT ON AUGUST 15, 2018

A NEWLY-FORMED consortium has submitted an unsolicited proposal for the design and development of a national ID infrastructure system.

Ayala Corp.’s AC Infrastructure Holdings, Inc., AboitizInfra Capital, Inc. and Unisys Philippines have proposed to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) that they be granted a 17-year contract to “collect, store, maintain, manage, and authenticate identity information of individuals.”

“The … proposal provides an expedient, comprehensive, and long-term solution that will enable the government to realize the full potential of its strategic programs by providing a safe and secure identification and benefits payment mechanism for individuals transacting with government,” Ayala and AboitizInfra parent Aboitiz Equity Ventures said in separate disclosures.

The government agency whose Data Security has been broken into by hackers should compensate the citizens whose details are hacked... on top of penalties they have to pay the top public official of that agency should be put into prison for lax or lack of security...
