There are many new skyscrapers u/c in Honolulu.

Among them are:

Ala Moana Towers 1(on u/c, one proposed), 46 stories, finished 2006

Ko'olani, 47 stories, finished 2006

Pictures can be found on their Emporis sites.

There are no height info in meters, but they seem taller than the tallest completed building today. It is 131m and these buildings seems 150-160m or may be higher. I already drew Ala Moana Towers as 160m for the SSP diagram.
I wonder if there is a new height limit for Honolulu and if anyone know their true height.

This is pretty cool. Not two years ago we who are North Americans were bemoaning the end of the skyscraper era in our corner of the world.

Now it seems like fully half (or more) of our major cities are geting new tallests !

The height limit depenends on the area of the city among other things. This height limit can be raised provided certain conditions are met, such as including public space at ground floor or providing a determined number of public parking stalls.

The height limit for downtown is 500ft, but the current tallest, First Hawaiian Center, is only 430ft. The height limit in Waikiki I beleive is 350ft with the exception of the Gateway area which goes up to 400ft.

The are many u/c highrises right now; all of them residential. The Moana Pacific Towers you mentioned are actually twin towers. I don't think any of the new towers goes past the 400ft.

Some other highrise projects currently u/c to keep an eye on are: Lanikea at Waikiki, Ko'olani Tower, Hokua Tower, Capitol Place, The Pinnacle, 909 Kapiolani, and Malulani Tower. These are all 35 - 45 story projects.
